Heroes to Zeros
The Beta BandA great album, I have to underline the superb production and ideas, though I didn’t really connect with the overall project…

A 7.5/10 ! Really lush and happy instrumentals, a timeless sound ❤️
I really adored some aspects of it, and some of them surprised me in a good way. Maybe it won’t be your kind of album to listen to, because of the length of it and the overspread material in it. Overall, really appreciated this listen 🖤
A Great Album Filled with bangers but also monotonous fillers…
A really enjoyable and modern listening experience, a classic 50’s to encounter at least 1 time in your lifetime
An interesting album, which reminds me a bit of Led Zeppelin. Despite some tracks being iconic, the overall project feels a bit monotonous and it feels like every song resembles the others…
Really liked it. It's a fundamental album for late-70's punk. We can hear Bowie's influence in here, as we can also notice in his own "Tonight" album (1984). Really nostalgic and efficient.
a pretty chill, though a bit too much maybe... not really my cup of tea, though I appreciate the overall early-70's folky vibe
I LOVE BJÖRK ! Debut is absolutely one of her best works, and remains one of the most innovative debuts of all time
A wonderful album. It really seems like a precursor of Prince, and overall mid-70's works (though released in 1969). I think the album contains really audacious moments and I definitely will be checking some other albums by this band. The reason why I haven't put it 5 stars, is because the nearly 14-minute track "Sex Machine" makes the album lack of cohesion and fun.
Muddy Waters is brilliant, no doubt about that ! Blues is a genre with which I have a difficult relationship, for I get bored very fast. Fortunately the album was not too long, and Muddy really captures happiness, joy, and simplicity in this live recording. Great experience still, though not my cup of tea ;)
I've seen the album cover so many times in my life, but never got the chance to listen to a copy before. The content is an efficient compilation of soul at its highest peak. Some tracks lack of consistency though, while others are just extraordinarily crafted (I've been loving you too long, change is gonna come...) Overall: Really enjoyable and majorly important in 1960s culture
Not really my style, it was not an enjoyable experience and it feels like no track was really a standout. The 2 stars are here for the work and the effort.
The album is really fun, cohesive, while also being hugely varied and efficient. The only reason I haven't put 5 stars, is because it was my bestie's favorite band, and she's such a bitch...
As a huge fan of Led Zeppelin, I must admit that there are iconic tracks (Whole Lotta Love). It really is a classic. It is not my favorite of the band, but it's still pretty great ;)
Was quite an easy listening for me, some tracks being even too much simple...Overall, there are some real standouts in here (Fly, and English Rose for example), but some tracks are also really forgettable unfortunately...
This album, which I listened to for the first time yesterday, is a fun, cohesive and really experimental record. I do not really have anything to say, except that I've been mind-blown the whole time, and I definitely will be checking out the rest of their discography. Noise rock is a genre i never really got into before, but this is so vast and rich, that it came to me as a real discovery.
Nick Drake is one of these artists that you must hear somehow. Just like Joni Mitchell's early 1970s era, Bryter Layter is a perfect mixture of folk, alternative and singer-songwriter genres. I never got bored, and I already listened to it beforehand.
A Stevie Wonder album can only be charming and cannot disappoint. I enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would have. It’s still an impressive record.
wow. a mind-blowing album. no filler tracks, just pure tracks, banger after banger.
pretty archaic, I really did not enjoy it at all…
This album was interesting. It contains really interesting elements, though generally not being my cup of tea.
I've been a huge fan of Twigs for some years now, and her art never gets old. LP1 is a strong output that should not be underestimated. I've always preferred MAGDALENE (2019), but LP1 (2014) is pretty impressive as well.
Great ideas and debut. However, sounded too monotonous for my ears that love changes
Great album, especially inventive and modern considering it a 50s album.
What an interesting, cohesive and avant-garde record. I really enjoyed it !
I like that it is filled with energy and good vibes. However all tracks seemed to me as the same and it began to bore me at a certain time
A great album, I have to underline the superb production and ideas, though I didn’t really connect with the overall project…
Enjoyable though not my music type
Interesting and varied, though I’m not a fan of Kendrick
What a creative and pleasant album ! The only reason it does not earn 5 stars is because I’m not familiar with it enough to consider it perfect…
Love this band, and this album is just phenomenal
One of my favorite albums of all time, truly cohesive and flawless !
This album is really chill, though constructed and really well thought out. I don’t think I connected with it as much as I did with Bryter Layter but it is still a wonderful record
Great album but not really memorable…
Really enjoyable and interesting, might need a 2nd listen to put it a 5 out of 5.
Great and interesting listen, though I did not really connect with their style of music usually
I found the alt-country vibe really interesting, but not enough to be really submerged by it
What a rich album, unfortunately not connectable at 1st listen for me at least…
Not for me, I don’t find this album catchy or interesting, and the vocal delivery doesn’t make sense to me unfortunately
Really interesting and melodic! A great time
A timeless and perfect record
My favorite by Jimi at the moment, though it’s not an easy listen
Interesting concept, some tracks resonated a lot, while others not
Although I really don’t like the artist and his behavior, I gotta admit that this concept is really fun and entertaining to dive into…
Highly forgettable, not my cup of tea at all
Interesting, although I think the project does not contain any huge and unforgettable moments or tunes in it…
Fun and light though not my fav genre
What a rich and unique concept, everything is to love here !!!
What a wonderful listen, this album has a bit of everything for everybody to listen to! I might need another listen to fully adore it
What a rich and unique approach, which I hugely appreciate
One of my fav from the alternative 1990s scene ❤️
Some interesting riffs but overall flat
