Fleet Foxes
Fleet FoxesIt’s a nope.
It’s a nope.
Awful jangly guitar pop with little to no variety across the tracks.
Nothing I haven’t heard before, unlikely to listen again.
All killer….no filler. Incredible debut album that doesn’t suffer from familiarity of repeated listening.
Gave it a listen, regretted that decision.
Not a fan, then or now.
I tend to avoid Country music as I’ve always felt it was one of the worst genres, a brief listen to some of this album confirmed my bias. Awful.
An easier listen than the Willie Nelson, but not by much.
Meh. Their first album was better.
Listened to this in full on a trip round the M25. I suspect it will be a challenging listen for some, but I didn’t feel the need to skip. Followed it up with Schlagenheim by black midi.
Never understood the hype around Bowie. Nothing on this album helped me see the light. Very meh.
Not the worst thing to originate from Basildon, but not my cup of tea.
King of the swingers!
Familiarity breeds contempt.
Love a bit of Sarah Vaughan, not a great album though.
No thanks.
No.
Not a wholly unpleasant listen.
An iconic album. This one was part of my early childhood, and dispite never owning it myself when listening yesterday I was smiling and signing along.
Not tonight
Not for me.
Did not enjoy this.
I’ve never knowingly heard of this band or their music, but while listening through I kept thinking “why do I recognise this guys voice”…..then Self Esteem came on and the scales were lifted, great album.
Nothing of interest here for me.
Well, I did not expect these guys to show up. 17 year old me was blown away by this album, but I’d say their second “Time’s Up” Is better.
Somehow this album is a Grammy Award winner!? Don’t waste your time, seek out his earlier work instead.
Bit meh on first listen. Given the guys ‘legendary’ status I may give this and his other albums another listen, but I’m in no hurry to do so.
Hmm, I have few Mingus albums and love them, but this one was a challenge to listen to.
I really enjoyed this one. Not sure how they escaped my attention till now, will definitely be looking through their work.
Nope. I really struggle with his kind of music, not sure why but it just leaves me cold.
I really don’t understand why people fawn over this band so much. Awful.
Who doesn’t like Afrobeat inspired polyrhythmic 80’s pop. Great album..
So tired of hearing Lust for Life and The Passenger. I suspect when it was released this was a great album but there’s nothing here for me.
Another band that, for me, just doesn’t live up to the hype. I don’t understand the adoration, this album is boring as fuck.
Starting to lose hope in hearing something decent in this list. Another dreary listen, perhaps my brain is wired wrong?!
I had not knowingly listened to Jazz before my late teens/early twenties. I stumbled across a radio station one day, and All Blues was playing. Life changing, I genuinely feel sorry for people that aren’t in tune with this music.
It’s not terrible, just a bit meh.
Stevie is clearly a legend but I did not enjoy this album on the whole.
Another overrated artist, awful.
Not sure, there’s lots of long-winded reviews of this, and mostly giving 5 stars….I don’t it get myself. I may dead inside.
Why can’t I vote zero stars?
Very nice.
Nah.
Like an aural hug.
Awful dirge
I refuse to believe this came out 20 years ago, still sounds fresh. Great album.
Listened 30 secs of each track….wish I hadn’t bothered.
I fail to understand why this album is here. Awful.
Pretty meh for me at first glance, but I might come back to it.
Never been a big fan, but not a complete waste of time.
Some killer, too much filler.
Not an album I’ll ever go back to. I have some “challenging” music in my collection, but this was too much for me.
Not a fan.
Undisputed classic, docked points for being a sick perverted cunt.
No one should leave this life without having had some Ravi Shankar in their ears.
No my thing, won’t be re-listening.
Yawn inducing
