Hard Again
Muddy Waterstoo repetitive musically for my taste it’s just the blues scheme with minor deviations ALL OVER & IN EVERY SONG i’m bored guys
too repetitive musically for my taste it’s just the blues scheme with minor deviations ALL OVER & IN EVERY SONG i’m bored guys
first track was a bit too slow for me afterwards i think it started getting better i mean i don’t hate it but folk isn’t my cup of tea really the second song is my favourite anyway these tracks are still well written and i can imagine this being the pinnacle of music for a die hard folk fan so i can’t give it 1 star of course
Oi now don’t get me wrong this is great music this is class but for 3 hours?? Bit too extreme no? The songs are also starting to feel monotone in relation to one another the longer I’m listening to it. Can’t give this more than 2 stars sorry & i only listened to one side
reminds me of comedown machine by the strokes but made a tad more interesting and with more variety someone great is quite interesting okay the longer this goes on the more boring it gets i guess it's fine but it's not really my thing so i don't think i'll return to the full album anytime soon the album closer is quite decent it's really not bad
ever since i signed up this algorithm has been giving me rather bad albums but this has got to top it PLEASE NO 😫😫😫 i can imagine people enjoying this i guess but this is SO bland i cant deal with it anymore there’s nothing remotely interesting or different like why should i listen to this when i can just listen to something else that’s more authentic and actually interesting ?? as much as i want to like something about it it’s so boring i just can’t, it’s catchy but not in a way that’s even pleasant or enjoyable for me, maybe it’s just not my type of thing sorry
ok this is probably just the nostalgia factor but these guys really made my childhood and i just fucking love them for it. i’ve got plenty of memories that are associated with their songs especially live forever and such, you know from listening to them while out having fun with friends and all so this album just means a lot to me, so to whoever doesn’t get it that’s your loss mate i’m actually sorry xx
it’s a decent album i’m not too keen on hip hop myself as i haven’t heard enough to know what’s good and what’s not but for paving the way for women in this genre i’ve got to give extra points really great
Well written songs i can appreciate them but it’s not something that really sticks out to me as a whole Car on a Hill is a highlight though that song is amazing
okay i can't think of much they could have done better, it's the perfect mixture of complex enough to catch your attention and catchy enough to make you stay
only liked the second song when i want to listen metal i surely would put something else on. hope that speaks for itself xx
It’s nothing really special and nothing I personally would revisit in full other than one song (Jimmy). It was also quite repetitive which was sad, sorry
forgot how much i loved this, just plain brilliance if it was a tad bit more versatile i'd have given it a 5 but a 4 isn't bad either xx
wasn't expecting to be too fond of it but i really enjoyed this xx
quite the good album, free bird is one of the best songs ever written and the rest isn’t bad at all either, one minus point to them for being racist i will not tolerate that xx
a lot better than the average punk album, it’s fun cool and different so yesss x i love let me help and she’s calling you sooo much
Best double album PERIODT xx but the first side is significantly better than the second.. whatever they’re still good
good for what blues can be i guess, minus point for being a nonce who married his cousin xx
so far i only knew kind of blue and this is so different in comparison, kind of blue is just straight up cool jazz (i think?) and here it’s different, there’s more going on than in classic jazz and i LOVE when people mix genres to make something great and especially THIS great so this is without a doubt a 5 xx
well it's fine i guess, i can respect the musicianship and the songs are clearly very well written but i'd be lying if i said this is the peak of music for me personally, and since i can't give something a high score that i personally don't find that enjoyable this will do xx pals i even listened to it twice cause i really wished for it to click
well there’s no denying that there’s better punk out there but this is alright to some extent too, but if i wanted punk i’d put something else on and that’s the thing. it has some passable tracks, though for me a lot of them especially on the second half of the record started flowing together and sounding the same. for me usually punks very basic musical composition is to accentuate the lyrics, which usually have some sort of political message of the times the songs were written, which is what makes the genre so great. can't give it those points though if half the songs are about wanking you know?? on a second thought it strikes me as if green day doesn't possess the inherent punk ideology that kickstarted the genre, they just heard where it came from and not caring about the politics just tried to fit into the "lifestyle" of actual punks, which is just a tad inauthentic really and takes away the rawness, the anger, and desire for change that authentic punk possesses, so it almost just isn't punk at all... but i digress hihi xx
really funky and whoever composed the guitar on this did a good job. not enough extraordinary songs for an extraordinary score, first track was great though cheers x
when i saw i got a stranglers album today on my way to school i almost jumped up in joy, i'll let that speak for itself xx
painfully average phoney punk xx i won’t brush it off as something that completely isnt for me as i can still get into some parts of it, but then those parts are destroyed by the repelling screeching which is in Every. Song. it’s really by no means “good” sorry xx
good music, it’s just that there’s too much vibrato on his voice. nonetheless well written, personal, deep, and emotional. cheers x
OMG YES YES YES I JUMPED UP IN EXCITEMENT WHEN I SAW THIS ALBUM TODAY YES X Now the very professional review: I love the harmonies and the jazzy sound it’s just magical and groovy and so nice The bass on Green Flower Street and especially New Frontier oh my god The very professional conclusion: this is definitely one of the best 1001 albums out there if not one of the best 100 or 50, cheers people xx
why'd they name themselves garbage when they're anything but garbage, i can think of at least 50 bands who fit this name better xx there's a lot of songs that are great but unfortunately there are some that are rather lackluster, so the overall sound gets a little flawed, but it's still a great album by all means xx
oasis literally made my fucking life i just love them i have no words to describe how perfect this album is 6/5 cheers x
Mindblowing how an album can start of with one of the best songs ever written and then just contain boring, casual music with barely anything noteworthy
I’m not too keen on folk, I could get into the opener and Autopsy but the rest not really x
Decently interesting, clearly dragged into length by a lot of songs in side 2, ultimately average x
huge props for taking a more complex, electronic route than what is expected for the average pop album, it was still slightly forgettable though.. there are some songs i’ll return to sometime x
started off VERY strong, started lacking a little more towards the end love the brass and everything though so still amazing, cheers xx
this album was my ANTHEM when i was 13 years old, the title track made me so emotional as i haven’t listened to it in so long oh my god
the sound was rather confusing, at points it sounded like the vocals and track were completely different, nothing was accentuating anything and it felt very confusing, there were some points that sounded cohesive but in general the album felt very directionless now for my personal first two tracks sounded well enough to me, afterwards the general course of the album was moving rather negatively and i can’t really say this is something i necessarily like well enough for a 3 star, but i still decided to give it the 3 for kickstarting the shoegaze/dreampop genre that is even now still active, innovation is always great after all! x
this sounds like it’s from the 80s when it’s only from ‘75.. i think that says it all i’m more of a heroes person but i love something about all of his music that i’ve heard before (everything pre 90s), i LOVEEE fascination it’s my favourite track and i just don’t know what else to say, it’s bowie he’s the definition of icon x
all of it sounds the same and it’s far from good enough for it to be good nonetheless, i have no idea how i finished this x
when i read ensemble of cuban musicians i already knew it was gonna be good and i did definitely enjoy it, i listened to it twice, the only complaint i have is that the music all through sounds very similar but you can look past that as it is good, but my bigger complaint is that towards the end it started lacking, so i can’t give a 4 xx to the person who gave a one star because “not in english” respectfully, what the actual fuck??
tracks themselves weren’t basic but altogether the songs sounded pretty much the same, i don’t know i didn't like it that much x
they’re no cream but they aren’t horrid either now are they
I’m starting to doubt my love for music because of this list which I have NEVER done before, what the fuck xx
I was a huge fan of the big band elements, i didnt like the slow and calm the mikents too much though so most of it wasn’t that great to me x
if this list has taught me anything then it is that i hate folk. it is slow, no variety, nothing that makes it remotely interesting, exactly what i hate about music x
please stop giving me these country folk albums i cant take it an
standard mid 90s alt rock, the second song which is a single was reaaallly good but literally everything else was so basic i was praying for it to end soon… respectfully, this album sounds like a romcom and i hate romcoms so x
bad, i don’t wanna waste more words x
Steven Tylers story and the lyrics on some of these leave a bad taste in my mouth, musically not that great either especially with everything else that was being released in the mid 70s i really dont see why you would listen to them x
good stuff cheers x
i wasn’t expecting to like this at all but i loved the instrumentation and it felt really dramatic, i really loved this one, but i was more of a fan of the brass songs and the slower piano songs i couldn’t get too much into. still good record nonetheless CHEERS x
my english teacher back then introduced me to the beatles as she was a huge fan and it quickly became the first album i owned. this was my life back when i was like 11, i still have vivid memories of putting this on and doing my homework listening to it 🥺 time flies
i’m not the biggest fan of singer songwriter as it’s often too monotone for my taste but this actually had a little bit of orchestral variety so that’s good, still not something i’d feel like listening to other than the opening track which was brilliant, the third one was brilliant too, well x
i like triphop and electronica but they can do much better than that, see mezzanine, sorry x
