Clean and direct sound production. A treat to listen to especially if you're on a blues/rock twinge. Their voices with that closed room reverb give a distinct impression of being in a old, smokey country bar in the middle of nowhere Texas.

As one of the grandfathers of ska and late 70s UK rock, I see why it should be here. It’s hard to wrap my head around the sound unless I’m in the mood for it, so I needed a few listens before I could give it a rating. Some good songs in here but ultimately a lot of it sounded the same.

I’ve heard most Beatles albums but I’ve never heard this one. One of my favorites is please please me and to know that this was made right afterwards amazing.

It’s The Smiths. Of course it’s here. It’s the sound of 80s alternative emo rock. Not entirely partial to their sound/lyrics and Morrisey’s weird sing/talking. The music seems strangely not in sync with him. Maybe that’s part of the charm? Not for me.

I wish there was the original recording of this album cause the low end has a massive spike in volume that has some static in certain songs. Bothered me through out the entire album. Gotta be in the mood to listen to anything with Bob Marley. Probably would be more tolerable if I were stoned.

I don't deny what she's contributed to female artists in terms of influence and talent. The sound is definitely not up my alley.

Great album and given the history behind it, one that I will see myself listening to again and again. Apple Music nor Spotify host it, so I had to go to YouTube to find a version, so of course, the quality of the music was suspect.

Great album. Can't really say anything wrong about it other than Costello is not in my normal rotation.
