Five Leaves Left
Nick DrakeThe mysterious melody and folk style across the album created an eerie aura (complimentary). The music brought out the weight of his lyrics. Quite enjoyable, first album we got that I had never heard of the artist

Need to give this another listen but enjoyed it
Wasn’t for me but respect the craft
You mean New Orleans can’t get artists to add your stops here but a prison can get Johnny Cash??
Really fun to listen to all the instruments in the band jam together. This would be really fun to hear live. Felt the album grew into itself all the way through
Very 80’s - some nice work done on the synths. Strong vocals and would be fun to dance to. 3.5 stars
Now THIS is the singer/songwriter jazzy shnazzy singing about relationships type music I was hoping to hear from this project. Nora’s vocals are so emotionally charged and the backing music compliments it so well
Fun bouncy way to start my day - calming yet dancy!
Really liked the grooves throughout the album. Vocals were hit or miss for me but enjoyed. Probably a 3.5 but I’m feeling nice
Epic I don’t think I’m a Metallica guy 2.5
Some good ole rock n roll Couple classics here - also lmfao at the 10” song
More fun rock n roll

I…don’t get it
RIP Brian Wilson
Recording quality makes you feel like you’re right on stage at a small venue. Love the interactions with the crowd between songs Holy shit there’s a podcast and a 3 act play in the middle of this
Really liked the vocals
Elegantly smooth vocals over bouncy samba instrumentals capture the emotion and yearning in her songs. Could have done without the parade song 3.5
Neither Bossanova nor pixie like but this jammed hard
Strong singing overall from Beyoncé. Feel the genuine emotion of love when it’s up and down as well as added societal expectations for a woman in todays world. Didn’t need the Drake feature but liked the Frank Ocean one
I feel like I’ve heard all these songs at a bar after midnight 4.5
Who hurt Lorde my god - raw, emotional. Instrumentals go from biting to sullen and pair with the vocals/lyrics
Alright, probably would have helped if I wasn’t in a rush to leave the house/cleaning cat puke off my shoes. Owe it another listen
Need to give this another listen but enjoyed it
THE GUITAR BUILDUP TO STYLE UGH Probably my 3rd favorite T Swift album. Fun, loud, has a big sound to it that almost feels like NYC in an album
Can appreciate what he’s singing about but I don’t really care for his voice/the music 2.5
Some nice bluesy rock in here
Aight
Jamming beats to this
Songs about love with a nice Big Band sound
Love 90s hip hop. Enjoyed listening to some of his earlier work
Some jazzy jazz
Didn’t know they went this far back, enjoying the electronica 3.5
These rocking Brit Boys 4.5
Iconic rap duo. Full range on display going between funky horn licks, dj/club beats, guitar/bass/drum ensembles while storytelling. Love the references to their other songs throughout. Some classics on this one
Pretty aggressive, liked when he was telling people off about their judgement of him 3.5
Layers of sound
Nick Dale has been my favorite discovery of this challenge
