In The Court Of The Crimson King
King CrimsonSome good tunes in there, not entirely my cup of tea. I think the cult following of this album does a lot of carrying in it’s ratings

Good blend of their characteristic sound with acid house, sounds of edm, good background album i can’t say any one song in particular stood out
A good album with some exceptional artistry in there, though a long one. It takes a mind like Harrison’s to throw so much music at the listener and say enjoy
Pretty much every song on this album is great. You need to actually ~listen~ to this album, if you use it as background music it feels like another hour long set on the local golden oldies radio show. But when you take the time to listen to the songs, hear the lyrics, this truly takes off as a culturally significant musical piece
An album that surprised me - when i drew it i groaned and thought it’d be a punish. How wrong i was. I must echo other comments that she’s like an early Tracy Chapman. Great listenability on this one, opens with a banger and the subsequent music is excellent
One of the greatest hip hop albums, let alone greatest albums, of all time. Masterful lyrics and delivery, exceptional samples and mixing
An interesting sound, just not to my palate
I thought i was being punked, pulling Kraftwerk two days in a row. Alas. Not to my taste
An epic live example of true blues, so good
Good bluesy rock
Fun listen, an unearthed hidden gem
Yeah good not bad not great
What an album to draw on the day of the big mans death. A masterpiece start to end, you can really hear their blues roots in this, and the sounds that defined a whole new genre growing from that. Rest in peace Ozzy, and thank you for the music
Could be a 5 if the second half were as strong as the first. All in all, one heck of an album
A very Bowie album. Not my favourite of his, and the experimental stuff hit and miss
You can’t beat Cash singing about being a criminal, love at a prison. This album is an all timer
Some good tunes in there, not entirely my cup of tea. I think the cult following of this album does a lot of carrying in it’s ratings
Could be Oasis, could be Blur, could be Pulp. Need i go on? Not a bad album, but boy was Britpop a congested genre in the 90s
Some interesting sounds in this, the sort of music you put on, grab a whiskey and enjoy in your man cave when you want to actually pay attention to the music
Lots of noise in between some good music. Angst angst angst. I dunno as i get older i seem to lose interest in Nirvana
Cool experimental psychedelic rock
10/10. What an album. You can really hear their blues notes coming through as they lay the foundations for a whole new genre. This is not a 10/10 metal album, it’s a 10/10 generational album that paved the way for so much more. Rest in peace Ozzy 🖤
Not the best of Dre of Snoop. Doesn’t really age well either. Ah well
Some pretty epic producing in there, makes for a good bit of a ‘background music’ when chilling. No particular song stood out. Fell like those lo-fi music youtube video at times
Not a bad album, nothing truly stood out and i will admit at times i was easily distracted from the album. It’s a shame we can’t half star, but i can’t keep giving out 3. Alas 2 it is
Some crackin tunes on here
I remember IBIATCL coming out as a child, and loved it. I then remember it being on singstar. This album feels like a group of fellas playing singstar, guitar hero and rock band and just having a fucking good time. It’s not Hall of Fame material, but it’s a bloody fun time
Up there as one of the greatest debut albums of all time. No crumbs
Barry B Benson once asked, “you like Jazz?” No, to be honest, not really. This is a good album, perhaps great to those who like jazz. But i can’t hack it. Regardless i’ll give it four
One heck of an album, starts so strong, but does patter out by the end
Just an Oasis/Blur/Pulp B-Sides album really
A very good quality live recording for it’s age. But it’s long. Very long
It’s funny seeing how polarising KoL and this album in particular is… well i enjoyed it. I can understand how his voice can grate at times. All in all a solid album
Nothing really jumped at me, one song played and i recognised it and thought “ooh i know this song” yet here I am I can’t even tell you what song it was. It’s not a bad album, but it was really just fine
A pretty good album comprising tracks you won’t hear on the radio unless it’s on a Sunday evening “deep dives show”. I particularly liked Heaven - very Bowie-esque, reminded me of Heroes. The link took me to the deluxe edition with the reworks and alternate versions and the album lost me there. So this rating is on the 79 track listing.
Really not my jam, felt like the world’s longest piano ride. Generous 2 to acknowledge that it is skilled musicians at it
There’s some good blues in there, but it’s not the best J L Hooker blues. Ironically the songs i enjoyed the most had no collabs
Sounds like Juice TV overnight…
Some genuine classics on here, all timers - the rest is as others mention- very debut album filler
Not massive on The Who, not massive on live albums - outside of all-time famous live performances. So yeah
NC&tBS are very polarising on here - seems to be 5 stars or 1 star, not much else in between. This album is okay. I actually like many of their songs, but this feels like they’ve thrown everything save the kitchen sink in order to be labeled avant garde. Some classic NC&tBS sound in there, but overall it was too much for me. Like Rocky Horror without the genius of Richard O’Brien
A pretty solid album with a powerful message
