Knew more songs on it than I expected, overall not bad!

I was not a fan there wasn’t really one song on the album I enjoyed

Honestly went into this not expecting much. U2 is fine but later U2 overshadows earlier U2 in terms of public perception but honestly this album was pretty solid. Would listen again!

Enjoyed the music, the “lyrics” were a little droney/repetitive but id listen to it again!

Very weird, sometimes good weird sometimes bad weird but the musical complexity is impressive. Everything is intentional, there’s no “happy accidents” Willie the pimp, peaches and the gumbo variations are the standouts Phish covers Peaches en Regalia, first introduction to Zappa prior to actually listening to it.

Like Dylan/Tom Petty had a kid Depressing jams with impressive soundscapes

Good coffee shop music, it was a good morning to listen to it since it was overcast/snowy and while everything sounded good, nothing was particularly memorable

First “don’t judge a book by its cover” album I got on the project. Thought it was going to be something akin to 311/Sublime but it’s instrumental beats and it’s a vibe.

Mamaaaaaaaaaa oooooooooooohhhhhh Classic album, never listened to it in full but Queen never misses. ‘39 and I’m in love with my car are the standouts

Reminds me of Delton 3030 with horror rap influences. First skit was actually funny, normally I roll my eyes or skip them I like the beats, the flow takes some time getting used to DJ-ing is impressive too

You’re either a John person for the lyrics or a Paul person for the melody, and I’m a Paul guy. I think I expected better of the album going into it tbh. Imagine and Crippled Inside are the highlights.

All I know about Oasis is Wonderwall, the fact the two brothers absolutely HATE one another, and that it’s the band for coke enthusiasts in England. Didn’t know a single song on the album but honestly it’s really good, very strong debut album

Absolute banger funk album Wasn’t familar with it until I started listening, turns out I knew Le freak Don’t judge a book by its cover album, I was expecting easy listening or some sort of jazz

No 0-3-5 Good riffs, I like the organ solos and I can see why it’s foundational but not super memorable but not offensive. Middle of the road to pass the torch to the next band

Solid solo Beatle album, didn’t realize how much George was into slide guitar until this album, and made me realize I’m more a fan of George/Paul then John/Paul

Pretty solid, I think I liked Paranoid and Master of Reality more but there were some chunky riffs on this one! Snowblind and Changes were my favorite

Fantastic live album, it’s insane to me the record company hid this album because it was too gritty or whatever. His crowd work is great too, and the fact it was recorded all on one night and not selected “cafeteria style” over the course of a tour is the cherry on top. Good art subverts expectations and tbh I didn’t expect much out of Cooke. A good singer but sorta bland and inoffensive. I now realize that is a fraction of the truth, and that narrative was pushed to make the label more money. I wonder if they released this when they recorded it, would they have made more money in the long run? This was by far the best thing I’ve heard from Cooke. You don’t have to even be a fan of his work, appreciating it from a showmanship and stage performance aspect you can tell he’s not afraid to work the crowd. I was very impressed!

Only exposure to Billy Bragg was with the Mermaid Avenue albums. It’s definitely an album that benefits from being able to read the lyrics along with the songs, and his voice can be an acquired taste but I think it works. Overall not bad!

Not bad, I see why it’s so influential but I think it’s an album that benefits from multiple listens to fully appreciate. Maybe subsequent listens will increase the score but for me it was good, but not memorable

Good country music, a bit too sweet sounding and treacly for me but I enjoyed the slide guitar a lot and Emmylous vocals

An album about realizing something may be wrong from inside the belly of the beast. As timely in 2026 as it was when it first came out. I dug the Beatles influence as well.

Always fun to look at the name of an album and think “I don’t recognize this” and the first song starts playing and you say to yourself “ooooohhhh” Never listened to a lot of bossa nova but it was pretty solid!

I understand why it’s considered a great album but it didn’t grab my attention other than the songs I already knew. I prefer Quadrophenia or Who’s Next

Not bad, Salisbury hill is the standout

Really the only song I knew by them was “my girl” and figured they were largely easy listening based off that song. Good funk/soul album, first half of the album is strongest part

Hard to give low marks to an album where you already know 1/2 the songs as singles. Cold take but Adele’s voice is phenomenal, favorite song I hadn’t heard before was “I’ll be waiting”

Best Arcade Fire album, probably beats out Reflektor personally but it’s pretty close. Does a good job of painting the picture of the suburbs as somewhere that feels safe but never lets you leave and slowly encompasses your world.

G-L-O-R-I-A Always cool to hear the origin of an Easter egg you heard first in a different song as a nod. This was a pretty solid post punk album, favorite song was Free Money.

Good music, Van’s singing style gets a bit repetitive and it’s hard for me to separate the art from the artist in this case.

Not bad, some good songs but some definite skips. The bass player was the standout, a lot of good melodies and he was high in the mix which I appreciate.

Very jazzy, good instrumentals. The weather fit the mood listening to this record, driving thru a snowstorm in the country definitely made it a more intense listening experience.

It’s cheesy flow has a charm, the samples are pretty fun too. Girls>Paul Revere is the highlight of the album

Good production, starts a little slow but it might grow on me on subsequent listens. A good send off to Bowie

Like others have said, this is the reason to do this project. I’ve never heard of this band before, I got them this morning and was kinda hoping for something I was familar with. So happy I got this album! Very dynamic and sounds like a soundtrack to a western

Fun ska/punk album, another first for me by a new band

As pertinent today as it was when it was first released.

I enjoy instrumental music, not a unique observation but typically you’re either a music person or a lyrics person. I’m a music person, and I heard of boards of Canada before but never heard them before. It’s unique in the world of electronic because it doesn’t feel like dance music. It reminds me of a blend of video game soundtrack and nostalgia. I really liked the recording sampling as well, it added an ethereal quality to it.
