Production and vocals are phenomenal, tracks flow together seamlessly. 1st half of the album is the standout to me on first listen.
Mad, Rise, and Cranes in the Sky are my most memorable tracks
Good not great, didn’t feel like it had enough to stand out amongst other rock albums from that time for me. My first time really listening to The Kinks, will probably have to revisit this to fully appreciate and understand the labum
Amazing vocals obviously, production compliments Adele well and allows her to be the star of the album the whole way through. Powerful start to the Album with the first 2 tracks, strong ending too. Rumor Has It is the standout for me, so many layers sonically that all come together beautifully, great energy, love Adele’s shit talking on the song. Definitely some songs I will come back to, but I’m not sure there is enough sauce outside of Adele’s stellar vocal performance to bring me back to the album as a whole too often.
CCR rocks and the album rocks. Such a fun listen the whole way through, it keeps me chooglin. Short album leaving me wishing it was longer. Everything about it screams CCR. Vocal performance is fantastic as always with CCR, guitar tone is so good it feels palpable, bass in Graveyard Train slowly chugs along endlessly just like the title of the song
Thought it was good. Didn’t really get into it too much. Will need to revisit, just wasn’t in the mood for this album when listening
Album is a classic for a reason, the highs are incredible and rightfully iconic. Not much else to say other than a few songs in the middle dragged a tiny bit for me
A CLASSIC. Just an amazing coming of age album. Vocals, beats, lyrics all superb. Evey song flows so nicely into the next. Skits are great and add to the story. Such an impactful album too, so much buzz when it came out and is still talked about now as one of the greatest rap albums ever. Everything about it is so good, I love it. One of the albums that really cemented my love for music, so it holds a special place in my heart. Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst might just be K.dots best song. Not sure what else to say other than thank you and I you love Kendrick Lamar.
Cool beats and great flow. Wish I knew what he was saying but ik he spittin. Very enjoyable listen, seems a little ahead of it’s time for a jazz rap album. Definitely feels like 90s hip hop but something about it still feels fresh today. Something I probably wouldn’t have found on my own
Vocal performance is amazing and so is the opening to the album. Wasn’t expecting this much texture from the production. Every song is atmospheric and I love it.
Just got into the second half of the album and I have no idea what’s happening anymore. All I know is it rocks
This is a solid pop album, that being said I am not the biggest fan of pop so I didn’t find this album super interesting. Her vocals are great but some aspects of the album just give generic pop vibes which is fine, I think it sounds good but I feel like some parts of the album or missing the sauce and get a little stale. Definitely some good grooves and great moments, but Im not sure this is an album I will revisit often. I think 1hr 15mins is a little long and could have been cut down a bit. I feel like I am writing a negative review but I actually enjoyed this album more than I expected. The r&b elements are really enjoyable and well done. Her girl boss attitude is great too and exudes confidence. Latin influence is a great touch when leaned into
Short and concise. Enjoyable whole way through. Not many thoughts on after my first listen. Does what it sets out to do and does it well
I love Sly and the Family Stone. Grooves always hit, vocals are always great and layered great. That being said I think this album is a little disjointed and is missing a bit of a sense of cohesion to me. Still a great album that I really enjoyed
Not sure if it’s my vibe, but started sounding a lot better after a beer. Guitar tone is great too. Had a fun time listening, really liked the middle/2nd half. Some other parts just didn’t do it for me
Not really for me, got a little bored while listening.
Liked it much more after another listen, explored some topics lyrically that were abead of its time
Not really for me, didn’t feel cohesive. I thought the musical and vocal performances were good individually but didn’t work for me when put together
Classic, MJ, still incredibly iconic
