Really strong start to the album. This kind of love is great. I thought the album slowed down as it went on.

Not my favorite queen.

A little adventurous with some of the tracks. Some really classic sounds on this though. Definitely worth the listen for the identifiable backings.

I’m not a bob Dylan guy. This is a great album. The first 4 songs are amazing lyrically and put together in a very sincere way.

I was put on. This is a solid album that has certainly influenced modern indie. Definitely heavy on their title song, but creative for the time.

Quite the concept album. Surprised this is a debut album, seems like something a band would do to experiment in their later years, not in a bad way. Themes of drug use and tough emotions through the album, balanced well through the pacing.

Not an EDM music man. This was still a good and interesting listen. Was surprised by the samples and pacing of some of the songs.

Some of this album is great. Some of this album sucks. A lot of repetition in lyrics. The start of the album I thought I was going to have to call it quits, it did pick up by middle of the album. You can definitely see the influence this band has on modern indie rock and alternative music. Still middle of the road for me.

Surprised me. Quite a good album through and through, a lot of depths for the early throws of this genre.

A great, smooth jazz album. Obviously held up a little by Take Five, but nonetheless a great jazz piece.

I liked this album, an interesting instrumental album with obviously a strong theme being the soundtrack of a movie.

A raw and uninspiring album. Not my sound at all, with a lot of rock albums I hope for some range in songwriting and pacing, but this album is a straight shot all the way through.

Steely Dan Man … Steely Dan. Underrated album of there’s, some point criticisms, and a lot of good music

A satisfying and interesting Jazz album with Fela’s lyrics behind an upbeat jazz track. Very enjoyable, interesting hooks, an interesting mix of African music and jazz

Would in fact rate a 3.5, an interesting album of a lot of different styles that’s brought in by the prominent artists in the band. Wish the vocals were a little more varied or they brought in some female artist to sing backing and do a song or two. And I hate that high pitch backing vocal too.

A casual jazz standard. Smooth as smooth can get with touches of these artists ringing through.
