1001 Albums Summary

Pretty good for a genre I don't have any special affinity for. Chameleon is very listenable and Watermelon Man has an off kilter quirk I really enjoyed.

Some classics here and Jarvis' voice is very engaging. Thematically seems a little one dimensional but also very easy to listen to.

Fiona Apple has a great voice. I think I enjoy it most when it's opened up and fully fledged, though the quieter more conversational moments are also captivating. I must make a note to listen to more.

Great Album. A proper nostalgia bomb of tracks that independently are phenomenal and really have no business co-existing on a single album.

Not something I can sit down with the intent to listen to, but excellent background music for tasks around the house. Possibly a genre I need to find a more robust appreciation for.

Not my style. Cash has a great voice but the theme and vibe doesn't do it for me. Or at least I'd get more out of Nick Cave for the same feel with more substance

Some familiar tracks here. Good flow, generally enjoyable to listen to. Nothing stands out as a highlight though.

Dolly has an interesting voice, which is very listenable, but not a huge amount of variety in this album made it pretty bland listening.

This is great. Good pace, interesting samples and social commentary that is in many cases as relevant today as 30 years ago.

Really couldn't get into this. Not sure if it's the Spotify version of the master or the actual content but it seems a bit thin. A couple of classic tracks, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to the album cover to cover again.

Absolute Classic.

I am biased, but '83 was a great year. Solid album, definitely something I'd come back to listen to again.

So many recognizable tracks, but I've never really understood Beatlemania. Does a song being recognizable inherently make it good?
