1001 Albums Summary

Probably the first in a long line of albums I will have to research as I listen to understand the era in which it came out. It initially sounded like a lot of 70s/80s rock, but it makes more sense that the sound is one that the album helped pioneer. It is weird because this seems to land somewhere between psychedelic rock and prog rock without being too hard into either. This makes more sense with appearances with members of Yes and King Crimson. 6/10 - Relatively solid album, all of the songs are catchy but not catchy enough for me to want to listen again. For a 40 minute album, it feels long.

I feel like nothing on this album is particularly new, but the way Beck put it all together was. I am also not drinking enough IPAs to really fully enjoy what is happening. itsart.gif

Pretty good overall. Makes me want to listen to more Elton John since i never have.
