Popular Reviews

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand

A classic from my teenage years so no surprise I enjoyed it once again. So catchy and clean sounding.

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Feb 14 2026

I don't like jazz so I'm not sure I could judge its merits. John Coltrane shows off his incredible skills as a musician. I found I like psalm best and other parts were more exciting or interesting but it just descends into a mess to my ears that I can't make sense of and hate hearing. 2/5

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Feb 15 2026

Such a great album. I love the sampling, the beats are so much fun. It's funny and angry and worth visiting again and again.

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Feb 16 2026

This was fine. Didn't hate it but also thought it was not particularly interesting. Nothing really caught my attention.

Sea Change by Beck
Feb 18 2026

A whole album of Beck does not a good time make. I like individual songs well enough when I hear them but a whole album just turns into a slightly dreary background hum to me.

Feb 23 2026

4 stars for bohemian rhapsody alone but generally a great cohesive album.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Feb 24 2026

I enjoyed this on in the background, particularly love the funky feel and afrobeats. But it would be too repetitive for me to sit and actively listen to I think.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Feb 26 2026

A classic from my teenage years so no surprise I enjoyed it once again. So catchy and clean sounding.

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Mar 18 2026

I actually really enjoyed this. Couldn't say why exactly but I will definitely come back to it.

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon
Mar 19 2026

I like certain tracks which are trip hop vibes but the whole album is mid.

Fuzzy Logic by Super Furry Animals
Apr 01 2026

Very mid all round.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Apr 14 2026

Some absolute classics on this album. Would be a 5 but I think there are a few too many average.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Aug 03 2026

Completely and utterly bland. Didn't notice a single song.

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Aug 04 2026

Two songs stood out to me but mostly it sounded like a parody of Radiohead.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Aug 05 2026

On further listens I might enjoy more, it was fine.

Roots by Sepultura
Aug 06 2026

Enjoyed this more than I anticipated. Exciting percussion, interesting variety in guitar lines. Probably won't listen again but I understand why you might.

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Aug 07 2026

A good time.

Aug 18 2026

An unexpected joy. Really thought I'd just put it on in the background but was absolutely drawn in. Bold, dramatic and timeless. Although Moonchild got a bit free style improv plinky plonk hit things.

Casanova by The Divine Comedy
Aug 19 2026

There were some catchy songs on this but it didn't particular stand out for any reason.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Aug 20 2026

Turns out I know way more Steely Dan songs than I realised. I guess that means they're classics? But I can't say I'd ever put them on to listen to. It was fine.
