Favourite track: Satellite of Love. David Bowie inclusion goes nuts

I can hear a lot of my favourite music in this album, just think it’s been done better by said favourite musicians

Heard before, one of the all time best albums. Never noticed how mental the drums are on Prove It until this listen

There’s only so many time I can listen to drop A slap bass parts and Jon Davis sounding like Scooby Doo before I get tired

Strong 6-light 7. Intrigued to listen to The Kinks more now. Bass run on Wicked Annabella is MENTAL

Unreal pisstake noise rock album. Never gonna listen again but a fun time whilst it’s on

Light 9/10 So…’Water’ is just one of the best songs ever written? Black Thought is a top 5 rapper of all time? Questlove is one of the best living drummers that we have? A lot of the 1/5 reviews on this kinda reek of racism based purely on the fact that “this is a hip hop album, there must be a lot of use of the n-word and misogyny”…right right

Has one of the best opening, walk out sounding tunes with the most upsetting sounding production. Actually hurt me listening to it. The Temptations are a great band though through and through

No. God. Please god no. Update: didn’t absolutely hate this. Suffers from what I call RHCP syndrome where there’s good musicians with pretty decent production and just the worse front man you’ve ever heard in your life

From a technical standpoint, this album is fucking remarkable. The instrumentals hold up really well and the fact that a bunch of guys from a deprived area made something that sounds this good is insane. The misogyny is INSANE on this album though Jesus fucking Christ.

I love Poly Styrene so much Solid 9/10

Everyone says it but it’s insane how weird this CONCEPT album is whilst being incredible accessible and catchy?? Light 9/10

I live pretty close to Bon Scott's hometown (who treat him like the second coming of Christ) so I have 0 issue to say that I don’t care for this album whatsoever. Just imagined Charlie Kelly singing these songs and it both enhanced the experience but also made it so I couldn’t take it seriously Solid 5/10

Ahead of its time in so many ways. Ms. Lauryn Hill actually might be one of God's favourites cause what do you mean she has THAT VOICE and can rap circles round so many others?? Just the best. “Alright this is a Chinese restaurant, But like Burger King, have it your way” genuinely got me

Always brushed this one off in their discography but it might be their most underrated (? This or Song Machine tbh) Solid 8/10

I get what he’s going for, I do. Doesn’t mean that I like hearing him spout the slurs though but it does add to the authenticity. Music isn’t 100% my thing but the production is quite nice (Marie in particular) Solid 6/10

Strong 7 - lovely harmonies, Young adds a lot of texture to the album with his guitar skillz

Pretty one note, nothing insane going on here. Would make pretty good wallpaper for your noir-esque dinner parties I guess Solid 3/10

Solid 7 I like this :) was very nice. Not very often I get to music that I can just describe as “nice”

Strong 6 I know mfers were going CRAZY for this. And you say Elvis invented rock and roll?? Right…right…

Strong 9 I actually GOT a Bob Dylan record!! Maggie's Farm and It’s Alright, Ma are all timers imo. Hopefully the other Dylan albums click for me on the same scale!

Has some of my favourite songs of all time with some of Bernard's corniest lyrics. Solid 8
