Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jul 20 2026
Tapestry by Carole King
Jul 22 2026

Carole King has a powerful, sensual voice. Really sold album. I liked the bluesy, soulful sound she produced. Very intimate

B-52's by The B-52's
Jul 24 2026

Loved the surf rock/rockabilly vibe. The silly lyrics were cool. I did not expect this album to be like this. I had only ever heard Love Shack from them before. Really, really enjoyed this album.

Pornography by The Cure
Jul 28 2026

Definitely a depressing album. Really enjoyed the wailing guitars on this one.

Jul 30 2026

I enjoyed this album. Kinda sounded like a mashup of Mischief Brew with Damon Albarn singing. Pretty neat folky, punky sound.

Jul 31 2026

Couldn't quite finish it. Wasn't a fan of nu metal growing up, though it wasn't all bad. Still sounds like edgelord music for goofy teenage boys. Probably would've been huge on 4chan if that existed in the late 90's

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Aug 03 2026

Not bad. Changes is a solid song. I also liked the Bob Dylan song, despite not particularly caring for Bob Dylan himself. Felt like the album got stronger towards the end, but I'm more inclined to guitar-based music. Still enjoyable enough

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 04 2026

Still finishing the album. Will get back to you.

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Aug 07 2026

Just didn't stick with me. I don't mind electronica. This felt kind of dated.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Aug 10 2026

Very solid album. Really enjoyed the guitar- heavy music.

Aug 11 2026

Really enjoyed this one. Kind of sounded like a combination of Nirvana and No Doubt at times. Courtney Love has some pipes. Really raw sounding.

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Aug 13 2026

It was ok. The music was upbeat. The album sounded kind of samey throughout though. Not bad but not my cup of tea.

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Aug 14 2026

Solid album. Enjoy this type of hip hop. Reminds me of Madvillain.

good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Aug 16 2026

Really really enjoyed this one. Kendrick has great flow. The beats were nice. Music popped. Definitely in my top 2-3 so far. Only album 20 though.

Melodrama by Lorde
Aug 17 2026

Need to listen still

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Aug 18 2026

Classic Stones album. Not much to say here. Have listened to it many times before. Will listen to it again.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Aug 19 2026

Enjoyed this album much more than the studio album. The upbeat, jazzy music really shines in a live format. Would listen again.

Wild Gift by X
Aug 20 2026

I enjoyed this album. Short, sharp early 80s punk. Would listen again

Aug 22 2026

I can't give this album an honest listen. I got so burned out on hearing Big Iron when Fallout New Vegas came out. It's just so dated. And I'm not a fan of the old westerns from those days. They're too rose gold painted and this music just makes me think of that. No thanks, I'll pass.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Aug 23 2026

Liked this album a lot. Very sultry. Had a nice ethereal quality throughout. Some jazzy stuff mixed in too. Would listen again

Hotel California by Eagles
Aug 24 2026

For me, very much a eh album. Hotel California is a fine song. Just not a huge Eagles fan. It's fine. Not likely to listen to it again though.

Is This It by The Strokes
Aug 25 2026

Nice early 2000's indie rock record. Last Nite is a favorite of mine. Good, catchy rock music.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Aug 26 2026

Tiny Dancer and Levon are bangers. The rest of the album, not so much. The lyrics were odd. The music was fine and Elton John can belt them out but it just didn't work for me. I'd listen to the first two songs any day of the week and the rest can stay out of my ears.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

I enjoyed this more than I expected. Not a fan of country music really, but their voices harmonized beautifully. They're all very good singers and the music wasn't dirt road, pickup truck, cold beer. Definitely a sleeper for me.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Aug 30 2026

Great album, especially the last two songs. Very introspective altogether. Big departure from the britpop era when this album released. Very cool music.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Aug 31 2026

Nice Motown music Solomon has a really good voice. I enjoyed it.

Lam Toro by Baaba Maal
Sep 03 2026

This kind of music doesn't do much for me. Not my cup of tea.

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Sep 04 2026

Good album. Rock and Roll, Misty Mountain Hop, and When the Levee breaks are all highlights for me. John Bonham is one of my all-time favorite drummers. Love listening to him play.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Sep 05 2026

Good big band jazz music. Reminds me of Whiplash haha. Still sounds good 70 years later.

New Wave by The Auteurs

Sep 07 2026

I can kinda see what they were going for, but this just isn't enjoyable to listen to. Sounds more like a thought exercise than entertaining music.

Harvest by Neil Young
Sep 08 2026

Not bad

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Sep 09 2026

I really enjoyed this album. I listened to Strawberry Jam back in the 2000s and liked it but never really continued. This is my first listen and I love it. It really is a lush and rich sound they produce. It kind of sounds like a Wes Anderson movie. Really really good!

Bubble And Scrape by Sebadoh
Sep 11 2026

Enjoyed this one too. Sounds like the 90's in an album. Love that lo-fi indie sound. Like Pavement.
