1001 Albums Summary

Love Clint Eastwood, couple good melodic background songs. The rest is pretty experimental and odd sounding

Lots of synth new wave, some consistent, good stuff there. The singer sounds so much like Interpol.

Good stuff. Not a huge fan of his voice but the songs shine anyways

This is the album that derived a number of classic hits, awesome guitar riffs

Tiny Dancer is the best, the rest is fine. So many references to Jesus! Surprisingly problematic song about Indians.

I like instrumentals but very much, similar to the Strokes. That pro is outweighed by the singer’s southern drawl scatting.

Some fun bangers on this one, good driving music

Big band music, not for me

I hated this album so much, can’t really explain why I disliked it so much.

Interesting punk/college band sound. Singer resembles Gwen Stefani

Very throaty, some of the guitar riffs were mixed so loud compared to the rest of the song I had turn down the volume. So far I don’t see Bruce’s appeal

Pretty good stuff, singers voice is flat at times But the guitars rock

All the songs are beautifully done, slow, love or breakup songs. You really have to be in a mood when you push play.

Really liking Metallica, this album has some bangers

The epitome of electric organ music! Has a couple songs that are absolute classics and the rest all sound the same

This one was interesting, think I’d heard of Roxy Music, incorrectly assumed it was a girl band. The songs are an interesting mix that didn’t really register with me until the final 3-4 tracks that started to resemble QOTSA. Casanova is an banger! Also, the album art is hella sexy and I bet it caused quite a stir when it came out.

Tutti frutti rocks, other stuff hits the spot but not what I’m looking for

Hearing how Jack White has evolved and elevated and comparing that to this album from my college days is interesting.

Screaming gibberish vocals. Instruments rock

The music should be up my alley but the singers voice kills it for me

Another album that I feel like should be for me but just doesn’t come together with my taste. Searching for why it didn’t work for me all I could come up with is that it’s brand of weird isn’t my type of weird

There’s really good stuff in here, definitely Red Dead Redemption listening party type of music. Some of the lyrics are dated but what do you expect when it’s from the 1950’s

Possibly the best Muse album, the moodiness pervades and the guitars shred

Solid rock album, now I better understand the appeal from when I was a kid
