First time listening to this album straight through even though I've heard about half the songs individually before. Like most Beatles albums, I feel like their music is better listened to in a variety playlist. It makes it kind of hard to rate the album because overall, it's a big "this is average", but there are some great songs on here and it feels very "classic". Decent highs, low lows. Favorites: With a Little Help from my Friends, She's Leaving Home, Within You Without You, Lovely Rita, A Day in the Life Song that made me suffer: Good Morning Good Morning 3 stars: some fun songs, would listen to some songs again, but probably never as a whole album

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen

Never heard of album or artist, so going in totally fresh. First impressions are that it's ok. Peaceful, emotional, poetic lyrics, lots of religious imagery. Not sure I would ever listen to this again, but it felt worthwhile to experience and I wouldn't be annoyed to hear it again. It fell into the background for me, not really in a good or a bad way. Favorite song: Suzanne  2 Stars: ok, not annoying, wouldn't ever choose to put on again

Moondance by Van Morrison

3 stars almost leaning 4: Some really nice songs on here that I would listen to again. This might upgrade to a 4 with additional listens, but I guess part of the reason it gets is 3 is that I am not that keen on doing additional listens. If this album was on while I was cooking or something it would be pleasant, but I am not sure that I'd ever choose to put it on. I don't think I'd pick it up at the record store.
