I See You by The xx

If the Room was music but I actually didn’t like it. Yeah, I don’t really get this. The vocalists are ass, instrumentals boring, and nothing really interesting or new happening that I couldn’t get from anywhere else better. Why is it on this list?

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Sep 07 2026

These deep tracks actually slap. How much more, lust to love (which has a dope staccato guitar riff), etc.

Risque by CHIC
Sep 10 2026

I can hear how influential this album is/was to music and to funk, hip-hop, etc. Really fun listen in that regard. Good Times is SUCH an iconic song with still one of the best bass lines I might have ever heard, not just in funk, but ever. Sadly - and obviously - none of the other track live up to the 8 minute opening track.

Logical Progression by LTJ Bukem
Sep 14 2026

Wow! Wonderfully surprised! This was a really fun, awesome listen. Probably some of the better drum n' bass I have heard (of the little drum n' bass I've heard). Probably will return to this periodically.

Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Sep 16 2026

Here is what I am thinking for stars 1 - did not like 2- not my fav 3- liked it 4- loved it 5- one of my favorites That said, I liked this album! Heard it before. I think this type of jangle pop/rock is done better elsewhere tho in a more interesting way, though I can appreciate how good this was for the time. But, even at the time I think there are some better acts, and David Crosby's work with Still, Nash, Young was much better just a few short years later.

The Bends by Radiohead
Sep 17 2026

I mean come on.... One of the most influential Alt Rock records if you ask me. Listening to it again, there really seems to be so much ingenuity here and elements that you see ALL THE TIME today in our rock resurgence. Outstanding record just not a SINGLE skip

Heroes by David Bowie
Sep 21 2026

BOWIE, ENO, AND FRIPP?!! WHAT?!! I had no idea. The back half of this album was moving for sure and my love for Eno really was heightened. So did not know what this album was packing and might now be my fav Bowie. I was seriously missing out.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Sep 22 2026

4.5 if I could! I loved this album. Probably better Talking Heads albums out there, but I really had fun listening to this and its humor. I just in general keep forgetting how good the Talking Heads are. Also, MORE ENO! Gosh that guy is EVERYWHERE! I love it.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Sep 23 2026

Another 4.5 if I could! SO funky, great songs all around. Loved it. Need to add this to my rotation

Among The Living by Anthrax
Sep 24 2026

I honestly loved this more than I thought. BANGER. Brilliant 80s thrash.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Sep 25 2026

3.5 if I could! Really liked it and see the evolution to Spiritualized

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Sep 26 2026

I mean love this album!! Have to save the 5 for better Zeppelin Albums (IV).

Rocks by Aerosmith
Sep 27 2026

Another 3.5 if I could (this rating system should really be out of 10). Classic classic rock! Definitely enjoyed, but I would always choose prog rock or stoner metal if I feel like rocking.

The Libertines by The Libertines
Sep 28 2026

Wow I kinda loved this! Really struggled between a 3.5 and 4, but went with 4 for just how much fun I was having with it and its obvious influences and its obviously who took influence later after 2004 release.

Sep 29 2026

DAMN! Same as you, surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. Likely a 3.5, but wanted to give it a 4 as well because of my surprise and excitement. Great record

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Oct 01 2026

Would be a 3.5. Really like this and like how wild it is for the 70s, but its not my fav that I think I'd put on regularly

Car Wheels On A Gravel Road by Lucinda Williams
Oct 02 2026

A 3.5 if I could! I almost think that the deep tracks are better than the singles/more popular tracks. But I enjoyed this! Should listed to her more often. I see the inspiration for acts like MJ Lenderman and other Alt-Country acts today

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Oct 03 2026

Miles at his peak! Not my fav go-to Miles so it has to be a 4.

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Oct 04 2026

Wow. So cool. A great edition to this list

The Renaissance by Q-Tip
Oct 05 2026

DUDE Where the hell have a been, under a rock? How have a not heard this before?! I loved this record and it will def be in my rotation from now on 4.99999

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Oct 06 2026

Only our second record that I have on vinyl (strangely). But one I put on a lot when I first got it and I haven't put on in a bit. But I LOVE this record! Another 4.9999

Oct 07 2026

Bruv, Quelle belle surprise inattendue ! Même si je ne comprenais pas les paroles, j'ai adoré la musique. Vraiment très innovant pour 1991. Je pense que ce titre va rester dans ma playlist. 4,5 étoiles.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Oct 08 2026

I mean duh. One of if not the best live album ever.

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Oct 09 2026

First Tom Waits project I have listened to shockingly, and I really liked it! Maybe I need more time with it to love or maybe some of his other work that is higher regarded will be in the loved category.

Oct 10 2026

Dude I loved this! What a performance and what a performer. How much fun would it have been to be there dancing? I can't imagine.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Oct 11 2026

Finally listened! Really good. Really struggled between and four tho because it didn't blow me away. I have been rounding down lately so I'll round up this time!

High Violet by The National
Oct 12 2026

Idk man, this didn't grab me. Maybe after a few listens it'll change to a 3, but not my jam atm. Kinda boring

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Oct 13 2026

Giving Wedding band?…. In all seriousness, I liked this! I think there is some good stuff here but there are also some duds. I feel like for 1977, there are other better artists I’d rather go to for fun and feel good.

In Our Heads by Hot Chip
Oct 15 2026

Dude I liked this a lot! 3.5 for sure. Nothing insane, but a nice instrumentally rich jam. Def something fun to put on for most musically inclined normies, but probably not something I'd return to super often.

Porcupine by Echo And The Bunnymen
Oct 16 2026

Dang I loved this. Goes bar for bar with the Cure if you ask me. Surprised I haven't heard of these guys!

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Oct 17 2026

Just iconic. Dre and Snoop invented G-Funk and still no one has done it better. The amount of P-Funk samples and inspirations if what made this.

Pink Flag by Wire
Oct 19 2026

Yeah this album is awesome. I can hear the influence on 80s post punk. Fantastic.

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Oct 20 2026

Wow. Honestly very surprised by how much I enjoyed this record. Lots of really good, rocking songs. I felt so... MASCULINE!! Seriously tho, great rock record. Very very close to a four.
