1001 Albums Summary

One of the best live performances of all time. Sam sounds amazing of course, but my favourite aspect of this album is his interactions with the crowd as you can tell he’s in his element performing in front of a crowd entirely of African Americans for the first time in his career and the first time in a way he was at home giving back to his culture finally being able to let loose and be free. Unfortunately, that was short lived and you can even hear him say “it ain’t that leukaemia” at one point on the album.

One of the best double albums of all time enough said

One of the best albums of the 90’s and of all time there’s a raw Beauty to this album I can’t describe in a way that does it justice.

Jefferson’s first incarnation and certainly its best this is one of the defining albums of the psychedelic wave of the late 1960’s
