Troublegum is the fourth studio album by the Northern Irish rock band Therapy?, released on 7 February 1994 by A&M Records. The album features a more punk-oriented style after the success of "Screamager", and is compared to Stiff Little Fingers and the Undertones after the band's previous noise rock-influenced works. It was promoted with several singles, most of which received promo videos. Reviews
Mostly fine
This one is really driving me crazy because I'm sure I knew this band back in the day. The name is very familiar. I'm confident that I've seen that (slightly disturbing) album cover before too. I think that I very likely listened to parts of this album when I was a teenager but I can't say for sure. Maybe it just sounds familiar because it's so very 90s. It feels like harder take on the indie rock scene at the time, or maybe a more aggressive take on grunge. I don't know. I did enjoy it, but I have this odd deja vu feeling about it, like maybe it's tapped into some nostaglic feeling that I can't quite remember properly. Whatever it is, the addition of a Joy Division cover definitely didn't hurt.
