I didn’t think I was interested in punk-oriented Northern Irish rock. But this album rocks! Terrific!

I think I have avoided this band because of their name. This is good stuff, punky and fun

Cool album

This one is really driving me crazy because I'm sure I knew this band back in the day. The name is very familiar. I'm confident that I've seen that (slightly disturbing) album cover before too. I think that I very likely listened to parts of this album when I was a teenager but I can't say for sure. Maybe it just sounds familiar because it's so very 90s. It feels like harder take on the indie rock scene at the time, or maybe a more aggressive take on grunge. I don't know. I did enjoy it, but I have this odd deja vu feeling about it, like maybe it's tapped into some nostaglic feeling that I can't quite remember properly. Whatever it is, the addition of a Joy Division cover definitely didn't hurt.

I've always like 'Diane' and wanted to like this but it's too mainstream and 'samey' to me ears.

Decent if not wholly memorable grungy rock LP. Not one for the super-heavy mids on the guitar throughout, but the tracks were enjoyable enough that it didn’t put me off. Really went in one ear and out the other, good execution but I’m not seeing the 1001-worthiness on this one.

STANDARD ROCK (90s)

Decent rock album. The snare sound is unhinged

I’ve never heard of this group before and from the 1st song I thought I was really going to be into them. Something didn’t quite click as the album went on but I’d give it another listen and see if that changes. Not bad.

I feel like docking this a point for the disgusting cover art alone. Comes off very much in the lineage of Irish punk/post-punk/ thrash/hardcore/ metal &etc. I see the Stiff Little Fingers comparison though the sound is more refined to my ears, drifting into dare I say Nu--Metal territory. A little too serious. I didn't hate it.

Pretty ass

Edgy '90s alternative rock that occasionally dips into a metal/punk sound. I do think Therapy?'s offering here is a bit shallow and one-dimensional in terms of both lyrical content and sound. It's all angst and not particularly compelling angst. Compared to similar-sounding acts from around this time (namely Helmet and Quicksand), Therapy? lacks the stronger songwriting skills to post up decent riffs or interesting structures. So, most of it feels a bit awash amongst other middling alt rock bands like Silverchair. CONTENDER FOR THE LIST: No, not notable or good enough.

Another album where the same song is written over and over again. Seriously this sounds so 90s and dull. My personal rating: 2/5 My rating relative to the list: 2/5 Should this have been included on the original list? No.
