Hot Buttered Soul
Isaac HayesScreams soul from the get go. Side one has some great full arrangements. Second side closes out in the best song/story telling I've heard in a while. Great produced album.

Some of the best britpop. Love the organ on Theme from Retro.
Really good early 90s electronic music. Solid all the way through
Odd collection of songs that sound more like an opening act to a vaudeville act than a 70s rock band.

Very punchy guitar and bass. Simple arrangement that works so well with the songs. Harmony is very nice. Nasally vocals could be off putting to some. There is a reason why most of the songs on this album are still on the radio almost 40 years later. Good use of stereo mix/recording, especially during Gone Daddy Gone.
Great shoe gaze album. A great full sound and great guitar.
Piano sound on "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" gives it great energy. Very nice overall flow of the album. Always has the Bruce's way of saying words that are clear and somehow mush at the same time. Backstreets closes out side one perfectly.
Opening with Caribbean sound is a nice touch. Goes into a more folk sound for other songs. Albums ends with more blues numbers. It's like Paul is flexing his musical muscles and trying out more than what he has done over the last 10 years.
A very interesting psychedelic album.
Very powerfully vocals. Good energy thought out the album. Reason why over 20 years later this album still gets talked about. Very nice production.
Very rock punk vibe at the start and leads into a very slow beautiful sound. The slower songs are still a great listen even after almost 20 years.
Very nice blues album. Good quality songs.
Very nice starting. Has the same sadness that his work with the Smiths had. Albums has some gems that have lasted the test of time like "The more that you ignore me, the closer I get". Which thinking about is kind of a creepy song.
Some of the best britpop. Love the organ on Theme from Retro.
Very nice big soul album. Each song is exciting and very well produced.
Somewhat relaxing ambient first side that mixes electronic sounds with sounds of nature in some songs. Side two starts with a more rock type sound with drum/guitar sounds. Almost a more punk sounds with 'Hero'.
Very nice EDM album. Peak late nights electronic.
Odd collection of experimental electronic jazz. Not as pop rock focused as previous albums of theirs. Good background music to study to
Odd collection of what seems like love songs and experimental songs. Almost everything and the kitchen sing when it comes to recording.
Good metal album. Has moments where you want to sing along.
Classic 70s rock album. Every song is good.
Very good album.
Very nice album. The organ sound is great in the first song.
Pretty much every song on this album is a classic.
Canadian prog rock
Well they brought the funk
Really good early 90s electronic music. Solid all the way through
Pretty chill electronic album.
Very good funk soul album. The stereo mix really needs to be listen to with headphones on or a good speaker setup
Pretty much a breakup album.
Good 80s album.
Solid album, second side is nice but might want to treat as two separate EPs combined into a single LP
Good use of a stereo mix throughout the album.
Great soundtrack to no movie. Does sound like it could easily fit a mike mann movie.
Great electronic album.
