Dry
PJ Harveygreat female vocals. gritty rock sound.
great female vocals. gritty rock sound.
i couldnt find the studio album so I listened to the originals by Ornette Coleman. While my depth of knowledge of jazz music is limited I thoroughly enjoyed his work.
Funky old school 80s vibes
Each song has interesting build ups
Bumping female hip-hop vocals
A few good blues songs on here
Not for me
Andre 3000 has a unique voice, lots of interludes/skits. Would be worth a revisit. Some solid bangers
solid classic blues
Worth a revisit
90's uk alternative pop rock band. good not great.
Some classic rock n roll right there. Pretty middle of the road. Worth a revisit
Not a fan.
Forgettable album
Good folk rock sound. Slight Paul Simon vibes
not a huge fan of this band. lyrics were not intriguing but musically a few songs were good.
great female vocals. gritty rock sound.
great rock tunes. Val Halen crushed this record
worth a revisit to find some new favorites. solid neo progressive rock
interesting UK group. might be worth a revisit.
brazilian psych pop/rock. Might also listen to "A Divina Comedia Ou Ando Meio Desligado" by them
not so memorable
really dig this group, some nice classic rock sounds with some beatles-like psychedelic nature
Nice folk rock song. Good jumping off point for similar songs
Didn’t really stand out to me
good blues and soul
solid record
"The band's sound is not easily categorized, having elements of exuberant folk music and a minimalist aesthetic occasionally reminiscent of composers such as Philip Glass." - From their Wiki page. Would be good as background music
I consider this a near perfect album. Redding's voice has such authority. He is missed.
such an interesting song writer. a great fusion of jazz, pop, avant-garde, and dance/club sounds
classic album, song to song fluidity is there but honestly not a totally huge fan of the music
i loved some of the songs and others i didnt. not bad work from the who
semi dark and grungy sounds, not my cup of tea.
just some real nice folk music. Gene White - founding member of The Byrds
great sounds, the doors are a hit
Joan Baez has a beautiful voice. this is a great collection of folk covers
Manu Chao has a unique, memorable voice. not knowing the lyrics gives me an unusual appreciation for the music
good energy, compelling composition. progressive rock music. rest of disco is probably good
This has a more upbeat sound compared to Bridge Over Troubled Water. Different but good.
I'd like to give this a 3.5/5 and not a 3. I thought their indie rock style was impressive. Worth a revisit or perhaps a look into their later albums
i love their jazz influenced production. they know how to put a record together. this is about a 3.7 for me so i'll give it a 4
This album is full of coldplay classics front to back.
uhh. its mf Steely Dan. 5/5
chill vibes. i like the punjabi influence. 3.5/5
this album did not grab me. not a huge fan of Iggy Pop's sound on this one
i couldnt find the studio album so I listened to the originals by Ornette Coleman. While my depth of knowledge of jazz music is limited I thoroughly enjoyed his work.
I was pleasantly surprised by this record. I enjoyed the music style. lots of varying vocal tones, mysterious feels to it. this is good music for soft background listening with the occasional rise in tension and sound (suspense like)
cool instrumental electronic music. some songs are vibey and some have techno or grungey sounds. i like Water From a Vine Leaf
love these tunes, jazz influenced, alternative rock I believe.
crazy this album was released in 1979. this is basically what Daft Punk is built on. i give it a 4/5 for sound and historical significance
Goodness, gracious this man has true energy. The live set was an incredible experience. I will revisit this record when I need a pick up. I couldn't stop moving along with the sound
i really dig the lead vocals. electric bass slaps pretty hard. all in all, id say this is a pretty solid rock album. some socially progressive lyrics to boot
some real groovy ensemble, african group with themes of prospertity, non violence, peace, etc
more groovy ensemble brazilian music
southern rock at it's finest right here. i'm so inclined to give it a 5 just off of their rendition of "Heard It Through The Grapevine" alone!
well rounded music, worth a revisit
this is a well put together album. worth it to listen to it all the way through. i thought the songs were upbeat, had compelling lyrics. the police have begun to grow on me
pretty solid rock music. worth diving into this bands disco further
loved this album
bob dylan has a very unique sounding voice. besides that he has compelling lyrics and guitar compositions. I enjoyed this record. probably a 3.7/5 for me
an interesting, melodic, instrumental group. very progressive style of rock i think. long drawn out songs with ebbs and flows of feeling. probably a 3.4/3.5 for me
i discovered this record a while back and it has become a classic in my library. the tunes they have produced are great pieces of rock. giving it a 4 but for me its probably a 4.3/5
i thought this music sounded good with a beatles-esque, early rock sound. then i learned that the group was manufactured for a tv show. it lowered my interest in the group.
great voice, classic rock sounds.
90's electronic. chill dnb and jazz vibes. I actually digged this album even though im not the biggest dnb fan. A good album for ambient sound
i am not a heavy metal fan mostly due to the vocals. but i can say that i do enjoy the guitar and drum instrumentals. there were a few songs on the album which reminded me of the theme song from BMS and that I liked
not much to say other than Van Morrison is king
really good sound here by The Kinks who are a 1960's UK rock group. probably a 3.2-3.3/5
some great sounds by Donal Fagen here. jazz vibes and interesting lyrics. 3.4/5 for me
