Kid Rock's fourth album. Interesting mix of styles. According to Detroit Free Press, Kid Rock had fully developed his pimp redneck stage persona and rap metal musical style and wanted to make a "redneck, shit-kicking rock 'n' roll rap" album. :)
This is the first band's album and the first grindcore album at all. It was released in 1987 by Earache Records. According to the Guinness World Records, their song "You Suffer" is the shortest song ever recorded, at only 1.316 seconds long. The band espouse anarchism, humanism, socialism and animal rights.
1982. Venom's second album. The first proto-black metal album! This one inspired a lot of trash and death bands in early 90-s. Black Metal song has been covered dozen of times (more than 100)!
The most successful Wilco's album. Great calm and melancholic mix of art-rock / indie rock. Recording sessions were documented for the film "I Am Tryind To Break Your Heart". Reprise Record refused to release the album because they felt unhappy about the end result so the band streamed the album for free on their website in 2001. Later in 2002 the album was oficially released by Nonesuch Records and critics acclaimed the album as one of the grratest albums of the 2000s.
One of the best albums of grunge, alternative rock and 90's music at all. Raw sound and pure energy! Listened dozens of time.
The first time I've heared this album. Great! Should listen more Metallica.
The first R&B album I've listened. Cover is full of contrast, based on a 1937 monochrome photograph by Margaret Bourke-White, titled "At the Time of the Louisville Flood".

The gem! True roots of shoegaze! The band hired 19 different studios during the album's recording in 89-91. Awesome sound!
Great and successful debut album of the successful band! So energetic!
One of the best albums of grunge, alternative rock and 90's music at all. Raw sound and pure energy! Listened dozens of time.
Second and the most successful Chic's album. The 78's mix of disco, funk and R&B. Not my kind of music but I enjoyed the guitar and bass lines.
Very good example of ska punk. 1979. Liked it.
Solomon Burke. Rock 'N Soul. 1964. 7 of 12 are top 100 hits.
One of the best albums in the world of all time!
Folk. 1968. I Shall Bet Released is great one!
Brilliant! Sounds so experimental and calm like acceptance of inevitability.
Just a perfect album. Very emotional.
Debut album of Leonard Cohen. Melancholic 1967 folk. The album was more popular in Europe. It spent over a year on the UK album charts.
Band's second album. Folk rock / psychedelic rock with a bit of country. Released in 1967 by Atco.
Perfect southern rock live album of 1971! It's The Allman Brothers Band's third album - artistic and commercial breakthrough and also the most successful of band's discography. A great mix of blues and jazz improvisations. Must be listened!

Debut album of the most successfull reggae band in the world. Perfect! Must be listened.
Great folk-rock with sounds of traditional Irish and Scotish music. Waterboys' best selling album. Must be listened!
Great psychedelic new wave debut from 80's Britain. Liked the sound. Amazing!
Kid Rock's fourth album. Interesting mix of styles. According to Detroit Free Press, Kid Rock had fully developed his pimp redneck stage persona and rap metal musical style and wanted to make a "redneck, shit-kicking rock 'n' roll rap" album. :)
Great soul/funk from July 27/72 and length 33:33 :))
Fifth Alice Cooper's studio album. According to Wikipedia the original album cover (designed by Craig Braun) had the sleeve opening in the manner of a wooden school desk, similar to Thinks: School Stinks, by Hotlegs, released two years earlier. The vinyl record inside was wrapped in a pair of panties, though this was later discontinued as the paper panties were found to be flammable. The actual desk photographed for the album cover is on display in the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas.
1982. Venom's second album. The first proto-black metal album! This one inspired a lot of trash and death bands in early 90-s. Black Metal song has been covered dozen of times (more than 100)!
British 84's post-punk. The band's fourth album. Since 1984 the album has been certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry. Great! Will listen it again many times.
One of the most important musical albums in people's history! The first "heavy metal" album at all! The sound of the album has got the roots in rock, hard rock, jazz, blues and psychedelia with adding of heavy distortion and creating completely a new genre. It was a starting point of separation heavy metal from "rock and roll" and also a prototype to a lot of future rock musical genres. This album was also credited as the first record in sludge / stoner rock and goth genres. Long guitar solos reminds of progressive metal sound. Also Kurt Cobain wanted Nevermind to sound more like Black Sabbath so this albums also has got an influence to alternative rock and grunge sounds. Completely must listen and must have in collection if you re a fan of hard rock / heavy metal / alternative music!
The fifth Kate Bush album and the first her album I have listened. Well It's magical! Sounds so dreamy and experimental. Album has got a deserved platinum / gold statuss un many countries. It's just amazing!
Great 5th Sonic Youth's album. 1988. Alternative rock with noisy sound and a lot of improvisation experiments. I'm a bit tired of listening 70 min of jams (although I like to listen long and conceptual records). So 4/5 stars this time. But I enjoyed it and will listen again.
30th album of 1001 challenge. (Oct.11, 2021). Great!
The third album of The Damned. Great and fast proto-hardcore punk influenced with some different musical genres and styles.
The 22nd Willie Nelson's album (1978) consisting of great cover versions of famous songs in traditional pop style. Enjoyed it a lot!
Spiritualized's 4th and the most known album (1997). Great neo-psychedelia with noise sounds.
4th British / 6th American album of Rolling Stones, 1966. This one was a breakthrough for the band. They became famous as much as The Beatles. "Aftermath" consist entirely of original compositions written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Sound of this album is more experimental than previous.
Folk/Country singer's John Prine's first record, 1971.
Peppers' 7th and the most successful album. Frusciante is back! Billboard's critic Paul Verna, mentioned that the album brought out "the group's softer, melodic side", as opposed to their previous six albums. I have underestimated RHCP previously because of their popularity. Their songs were everywhere on tv and radio. Now I understand that I was wrong. This album's sound is technically perfect and melodic!
Arcade Fire's first album, 2004. The album was given its title because several band members had recently lost members of their families. Despite indie rock is not my favourite genre of music I liked the sound and atmosphere of this album a lot!
1971 concept album by French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg. Histoire de Melody Nelson is considered by many critics and fans to be Gainsbourg's most influential and accomplished work, as well as one of the greatest French-language albums in popular music. Its Lolita-esque pseudo-autobiographical narrative follows the illicit romance that develops between the middle-aged Gainsbourg and 15-year old girl Melody Nelson. While it became a pivotal album of the 1970s and was instrumental in the development of French rock music and trip hop genre... Thanks, Wiki! I was surprised by the sound of this album. Spoken word "whispering" vocal... The funky bassline is cool! Since I like trip-hop it was interesting to hear the music that influenced some representatives of this genre... French female voice pronouncing "Melodie Nelson" is sitting in my head all the day :)))
One of earliest industrial metal albums I've heared. Perfect!
Debut album of the Jimmy Hendrix Experience band (1967). Are You Experienced is widely regarded as one of the greatest debuts in the history of rock music. The album features Jimi Hendrix's innovative approach to songwriting and electric guitar playing which soon established a new direction in psychedelic and hard rock music.
7th Radiohead album. It was self-released on 10 October 2007 as a pay-what-you-want download, later also physically released. The pay-what-you-want release, the first for a major act, made headlines internationally and sparked debate about implications for the music industry; some praised Radiohead for challenging old models and finding new ways to connect with fans, while others felt it set a dangerous precedent at the expense of less successful artists. I like the sound of this album! Will definitely buy a vinyl!
Debut album of Moby Grape. Great country psychedelic rock from San Francisco, 1967.
2nd Megadeath's album, 1986. The first Megadeath album I've listened so far. Great riffs and lyrics! Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson stated that they wanted to change the public perception of heavy metal by writing songs that contained socially aware lyrics. "Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?" is often regarded as a thrash metal classic and as an album that gave prominence to extreme metal.
Second the Stooges album (1970). All songs were live recorded except some minor edits. Though initially commercially unsuccessful, Fun House developed a strong cult following. It is generally considered integral in the development of punk rock.
The third solo album The Smiths vocalist Morrrissey. Perfect rockabilly / glam rock. One of the best albums in England of 1992. I liked it very much. Will definitely listen it again and again.
Debut album by American hip hop rapper Jeru the Damaja, released May 24, 1994 and called as the best Damaja's album by the critics. It is considerably significant in hip hop, as it contributed to the revival of the East Coast hip hop scene.
The 4th Pet Shop Boys album. I thought that this one would be more interesting. But only 3 stars of 5. Interesting facts about this one is that they used analog synthesizers instead of digital. Tennant stated the album was inspired by fellow synth-pop group Depeche Mode's album Violator released that same year.
The third album by Liverpudlian band Shack, 1999. H.M.S. Fable was well received by the critics, but I'm not a critic. So this one was a bit boring for me. Not my type of music, but sounds good.
Queens of the Stone Age debut album, 1998. Desert rock / Stoner rock / Hard rock. Album received generally positive reviews from the critics. Homme remarked that he "just wanted to start a band that within three seconds of listening, people knew what band it was". And it is really damn good! Please generate me more stoner rock albums in this list! :)
Debut Brian Eno / David Byrn album. Eno described this album as a "vision of a psychedelic Africa". Rather than conventional pop or rock singing, most of the vocals are sampled from other sources, such as commercial recordings of Arabic singers, radio disc jokeys, and an exorcist. So sampling here is the main vocal. In later years this album has come to be regarded as a highly influential album. I liked it. Especially good for driving at night. :)
The first and the only Sex Pistols album. The album has influenced many bands and musicians, and the industry in general. In particular, the album's raw energy, and Johnny Rotten's sneering delivery and "half-singing", are often considered game-changing. It is frequently listed as the most influential punk album, and one of the most important and best albums of all time. I liked it, but overall it is a bit same and monotonous.
Debut Iggy Pop's solo album of 1977, produced by Bowie. Interesting sound but I didn't enjoyed it so much.
Led Zeppelin's 4th (1971) and the most successful album which has got a lot of awards. The 1'st position in the top "Classic rock - 100 greatest British rock albums ever" (april 2006) and a lot LOT more... "Stairway to Heaven" still is the most played song on various american radio stations, and still one of the best rock ballads ever!
The third SK's studio album of 1997. Nice punk rock from 90s. I like the energy raw sound and nice vocals of this album. The cover is an homage to The Kinks' 1965 album The Kink Kontroversy.
This is simply a gem. Lyrics, voice, sound, atmosphere - everything is absolutely perfect! Black and Jeremy are the best songs of 90s! Also one of my favourite albums ever! Has been listened thousands of times! Total Masterpiece!
Something/Anything? (1972) was Todd Rundgren' third album and his first double album. Also in 3/4 of songs he plays all the instruments. Nice album, but not for everyday listening. Good Music for driving, although some parts was long.
