Evidently Bobby Gillespie's favourite album ever

Not a huge fan of the sound but they certainly knew what they were doing

Good songs great, bad songs very dated

I can see why it would be an important album at the time of its release, even if it's not my cup of tea today

Great songs are great, weird songs are annoying

The sound is very much of its time, but as a debut album it's impressive

Not normally a huge Country fan but I make an exception for Emmylou Harris

Insane but really good

I'm a big fan of DBT - not many people come close to their lyrics and the stories they tell. But for me, this album (like most of their others) contains just a few too many mid-tempo chuggers that all go on for a couple of minutes too long.

I don't know about this technological rave-up music - it's just all clicks and bangs, really. I can remember when songs used to have a proper melody, and a chorus, and words that told a story.

Funny how dated and schmaltzy it sounds, to this 90s kids' ears.

A classic of its time!
