Histoire De Melody Nelson
Serge GainsbourgPretty groovy. Really dope precision bass tone. Sexy French lyrics I don’t understand at all. Super simple drums. And a throaty blues guitar. Kind of a perfect 70’s rock album

1/6 Repetitive 90’s wine rock A muddy mix. just trash overall

Super melodic catchy tunes. Upbeat. Fun. Weird cries and noises that put a smile on your face (Fun sounding harmonies) Not a complicated rhythm in the whole record. Which works for the sound. The mix is a bit empty. But it works for the sound. It’s mostly a guitar bass and drums. Piano added mildly. But it’s so catchy and fun your ears don’t miss a wall of loud mixed sounds. The simplicity is lovely.
While the album is a bit slower tempo for my taste is definitely lovely on the ears. Jeff’s voice is beautiful. My favorite is lilac wine. Jeff is a great artists
This is one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to. Joni Mitchell is one of my favorite artists ever. Help me is such a uniquely beautiful expression of new and true love. The lightness that comes with love and the lightness of the song goes so well together. She is absolutely a gem of a human

This album is straight up iconic. One of the greatest albums of all time. Love the theme throughout the entire album. So sad that the band was missing one of its members and were feeling the weight of carrying on. Favorite tracks? Probably the title track of the album or the heavy ass rock your face of “have a cigar” Seriously though. If you like music you must listen to this album
I wish I could give this album negative stars This is such a muddy mix. Muddy guitar, bass guitar, and drums. With soft spoken vocals make listening a chore. This is like four angsty 17 year olds got a band together after only spending a year with their instruments. Then got their dad’s audio engineering friend that used to record using analog methods in the 60’s and 70’s. And he is trying to figure out how to record digitally. Just do yourself a favor and skip this album
Never mind the bollocks-the Sex Pistols High energy recording. Even though the recording isn’t the best. The vocals jump out of the speakers. The anger and sex appeal booming out of Johnny rotten is immediately heard from “Holidays in the sun” Bodies is super fun. Lovely language that is so entertaining to your ears. It’s hard not to smile listen to rotten screaming about his existence. I love the speed/tempo of the album. The recording wasn’t mic’d the best. But the energy of the band is so forthright it’s hard to care much about anything but their rock and rock energy. They don’t care if you like them which makes me like them more. This album is dope
It’s alright. Cali pop rock. It’s is very much a classic album with a shit ton of popular songs from very popular musicians. My favorite is “Porcelain” It’s just not my music
Joni Mitchell is one of the best song writers ever
It not my music
It still holds up well. It’s recorded excellently. Very clear. The music is pretty delicious too. The lyrics a little nonsensical. But it grooves.
You can hear the genre producing sound from the on set. Really powerful lyrics and guitar. The understated drums are a let down. They needed whoever recorded zeppelin’s drums to record the drums on this album. But you really can’t say enough about the power felt from the guitar and vocals. The bass is dope as well. Give a listen
This album is really dope
It’s alright. Not my style of music
