Incredible album, you can just feel the powerful force of this album through your whole body. Coltrane is a master at what he does and only proves it in this album, beautiful keys and drums really lays the backing perfectly. You can really hear he lets his soul play for him. 9/10 Album.
Head songs off this and was aware of this album and it’s impact in both the rock and room and art scenes, fist time listing to it cover to cover. Very beautiful album through and through, what was considered “controversial lyrics” at the time just paint such a good picture of everything Reed was dealing with and what was going on with the other unseen sides of life. Yet with these harsh topics Reed and Nico still make the album sound so beautiful and at times dreamlike. An album that helped open the door for more experimental sounds to flood the airwaves.
Putting her entire life at the time on this album is very apparent. Letting it all out on every track and not being sorry about it, going through a very dark time in her life Adele turned that into a beautifully empowering album for anyone who has been hurt in life, saying that’s not the end of the story and that heartbreak is truly just a step in the road. Showing any listener who has gone through similar things that it will get better. An Incredible and devastating album that tells the story of heartbreak, depression and how to heal from that.
A different but very good change musically in this album, a funky and yet more aggressive rock and roll sound to this album. A lot of juggernaut songs packed into this record, funk, pop, soul, and rock all bleed through at the same time so seamlessly. After a basically 5 yeah hiatus this album makes Jackson sound like he never even left the studio between albums, proving to everyone he truly is the King of Pop. Fantastic album with so many different incredible songs.
A very nice techno album, never heard it before or of The Prodigy, unfortunately not my favorite one, cool beats and nice drops and all but just felt a little repetitive, a lot of the songs seem to just drag on with the same repeating loop not really adding anything needed for a 7-8 minute song. All in all just not the best I’ve heard. Good sounds but just doesn’t hit the right spots for me.
A very beautifully sounding album. Cannot go wrong with this one! Such a nice listen all the way through. One of the most powerful drummers to exist and was forced to tone it down for this one but did it so well, not having Karen on all drums is a crime but it didn’t take away from the softer sounds of this album and brought her beautiful voice to front and center. Great album and great listen!
A very well received album, a change in style from the band for sure but not in a bad way. A lot of solid songs here that helped bring RHCP to the top of the charts and into every house at this point. First time listening to it front to back, and it was all very solid, classic songs on there but also found some I haven’t heard that were all so good! Very solid album.
Haven’t heard one song off this album, very surprising that this isn’t talked about a little more, some very solid songs on this album packed with a ton of great features. Good album all the way through, not every song is 10/10 but it is still a good album to discover!
An absolutely incredible album! Last Big Brother album with Janis Joplin on it and she leaves with a bang! She really gives everything she has in this album, her voice is just so recognizable and so different and raw all coming from so deep within. Truly one of the greatest singers to grace the microphone. Cannot believe this album isn’t a live album and only produced that way, gives it such a raw sound that steps the album up to a whole other level. Always have loved this album cover, incredible artwork. Great album with classic songs on it!
Neil Young never disappoints, a very late album in his career but still so good and so different. The definition of garage rock. First time listening to this album and I enjoyed it! Not is best but sure not his worst! Crazy Horse is always good to see behind Young. Good album!
First time listening to this, very nice sounding album. All around very dream-like sounds through the whole album. Hard to make out the lyrics but still such a very nice sound coming out of the album regardless, not my favorite but not a bad album.
Very nice debut album, a little drawn out and kinda all seems the same, for sure like other QofTSA better, and unfortunately not as much anymore but still a good album.
A very wild intro to the 80’s but not in a bad way! Very different and very good sounds in this album, love the drums and the repetitiveness of it. First time listening to this album and the band itself, very solid album all the way through, really enjoyed it!
An absolutely incredible album. What more can be said about this album?? The A-Side is literally perfect and B-Side is not far behind! This album brings me back to listening to it in my dads old dodge van as a kid. I mean how can you too Free Bird as an album ender??? Just such a good album 10/10!
Very nice sounding album. I knew one or two before this listen but this was my first time all the way through. Very good front to back, all great and at sometimes soothing songs that I really enjoyed! The sound was very very different and hard to describe, in you face and then sometimes very soft and to the heart. Love the Album cover too! Nothing too crazy but just really different and retro looking which I like. Whole album sounds way older than it is, giving off similar vibes to The Magnetic Fields and even some Joy Division! Really liked the songs I Spy, Sorted For E’s & Wizz, FEELINGCALLEDLOVE, and of course Common People! But all around I really liked the whole thing and will listen to the full thing again in the future!
Wowza, first time listening to this masterpiece. It is just so beautifully strange, I really really enjoyed this. The names are so long and making them at some points so funny, but also still have a meaning behind them all through the self titled state. Painting such a vivid picture in my head of what he is portraying in the songs with his incredible voice, hitting straight to the core in most songs.
This album is on a whole other level, I cannot speak highly enough of it! Such an incredible split album for both Andre and Big Boi! The differences between Speakerboxx and The Love Below are so apparent but they mesh so well in this double album, two albums with the same flow. Big Boi starts it out with that classic souther-style hip hop and then Andre comes in and makes everything so funky and shows love and heartbreak is great pictures. All around such a good album, too many good songs to count and even tho it’s 2 hours long I could just keep listening to it. Absolutely incredible album.
Great sounds really, but it’s just unfortunate I don’t understand all the music, it is a very danceable album don’t get me wrong, just wasn’t a favorite album and I don’t think I would just put this album on to listen to it. But I’m glad I did listen love the sounds and it is not a bad record at all, just not one for me.
Wild Album! First listen and really enjoyed it! Will listen again!
Incredible album. Just listened to it last week as well so not much more to say than what is said but very solid album.
First time listening. A very beautiful sounding album, really enjoyed every song on this album. First time also listening to Fleet Foxes and I really enjoy the singers voice, all the songs were so soft as well and very enjoyable. Will listen to more of this band!
Solid album!! Cannot go wrong with this one! Jump, Panama and Hot for Teacher on one album, can’t beat it! After a full listen this album still kicks so much ass!
First time listening, nice singing no doubt and good music behind but just not for me. Country with out a doubt but with a little different twang in most songs. That being said most songs seem to just sound like one to me. Did like the Where Did You Sleep Last Night homage in The Pines. But all in all not an album for me.
Very iconic album and self titled song. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t know the song American Pie and that says something. All other songs are just as good and some even very underrated. Such a great voice to listen to. First time listening all the way through and was a very good listen.
Not going to be listing to this album. Fuck The Smiths and fuck Morrissey.
Very 90’s Chill Electronic, feels like I’m in a food court in a mall in the late 90’s. First time listening to the whole thing, knew one maybe two songs already but a very easy listen, not what I listen to on a daily basis but nice album!
Very insane album! Not bad at all! Really just sounds but very wild to say the least
Classic Album, cannot go wrong. Bummer they hate each other.
Nope sorry. Fuck Morrissey.
Very very good album. Have never heard of this band before or this album. Really enjoyed the whole thing! Very soft singing and really heavy riffs at some points to follow it up. Will be checking out more of this band for sure!
Not a bad album. Of course know the band and some off of this album, have never been the biggest Aerosmith fan but not a bad listen through!
What a great album! Who doesn’t like Van the Man! What a voice this guy has really can’t say how much I enjoy Van Morrison. Not the first listen to these songs but first time all the way through at once and god what an album! Will always be down to listen to this guy!
Love me some Bowie! Not his best album for sure but still not bad! Like the self titled song! Dirty Boys reminds me of a Tom Waits song which is pretty cool! All around not a bad listen!
Have never heard of David Ackles so first time listening to this. Very nice voice and great songs through the whole album! Good and very soft and easy listen to this one!
Incredible album! The 80s encapsulated in an album! Really good listen all the way through for the first time. Of course have heard songs off this album but not every one, really enjoyed it all the way through!
Really wild album!!! A lot of very cool songs on this album! First time listening to this and I really enjoyed it! Super punk album which I really dig. Super stripped down sounds and very raw sounding instruments, synth in there as well sounds so ahead of its time! Also even some songs I can feel the punk style that Turnstile takes from which I really enjoy! Very very solid album!
Very nice listen. First time for this album and this artist, really good sound to the whole thing. Very solid album all around! Probably will check out others like this!
Very nice listen. First time for this album and this artist, really good sound to the whole thing. Very solid album all around! Probably will check out others like this!
Ya gotta love some Radiohead! First listen through of this album tho! Very good coming right after Kid A I still think this album holds up next to it! Really nice music for this whole album! Did not disappoint!
Super cool album! Very industrial electronic! Really dig the vibe to this whole album and can just veg out and listen along to this one. A lot of these songs could be really good beats for old school hip hop to be on top of the tracks! Enjoyed both the band and the album!
What a strong album! Desert Blues is something else! Literally having to leave their homes from a civil war! Unfortunately do not know the language but from what I’ve read has to be very powerful for what they went thru and the music behind it! Great album!
What an incredible album! Peak 80s vibes right here! God I love Tears For Fears, Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and Head Over Heels on one album!?! An absolute masterpiece of and album! 10/10 have listened and will listen again!
Oh am I a slut for Steely Dan! God I love this band! Nothing I’d rather be doing that listening to one of these albums! Classic tho cannot best this, love this one, Aja, and Can’t Buy a Thrill the best! Of course this is a 5 star album how couldn’t it be??
Another classic Radiohead album! First time listening to this one but not bad at all! Not my favorite but certainly not bad at all!
Cool album! Don’t know these guys too much but have heard some songs! Very different album for sure but really enjoyed it! Good sounds and wild tastes!
Yeah a classic of course! Everyone was so good damn horny in the late 90’s!
THE GREATEST! I fucking love Donovan! What a wild card, a true pioneer of the psychedelic rock genre. Great album too with such classic songs, Superman Sunshine, Season of the Witch, Guinevere all so so good! Cannot go wrong with any Donovan tunes! 10/10
This album bring me back to my childhood! Listened to this album way too young! Had my babysitter show me the My Name Is music video and after that I was hooked! Also growing up in Detroit this was all over the place! Incredible album, Eminem is an incredible artist!
Great great album, one of the greats my dad showed my early on in life. Incredible songs on this album including Stuck in Mobile, what a perfect song. Very good album! Can’t wait to see more on this list!
Iconic album! Straight from the 80’s! Lotta songs I did t k is but of course can’t go wrong with Tainted Love! Really good album all together and first time listening front to back. Good album great bops!
Not my favorite but not the worst at all! Seems like a filler album for this bad nothing really stood out to me but still not a bad listen!
Surprisingly solid album! Never really listened to Moby but I did know some songs off this already! Honey is a very good song that I have heard before! South Side was a solid one I have not heard before! Great sounds throughout the whole album. Sounds like it should have come out later than ‘99. A timeless album for sure!
INCREDIBLE ALBUM!!! One of the best hip hop albums of all time for sure! Juicy, Big Poppa, Suicidal Thought, Ready to Die??? Biggie is one of the greats, absolute bangers on this album and loved listening to this again!
Beautiful album. You can feel these songs in your soul and the heartache that when into this album. Otis Redding is a master at what he does and nuts just incredible to hear! Also just some are nice to dance too hahah!
What a cool album! Really has some wild synths on this thing! I mean the first song??? Oh yeah fun fun fun on the Autobahn!! Have never heard of Kraftwerk before but this album was very solid!! Insane electronic music for being released in the 70’s! So so far ahead of its time and you can see the impact this had on new electronica.
Very cool album! Have only heard a few from this band but really dug this listen! Super punk and raw for their first album! Super aggressive in some parts and with a great voice behind it! Solid album all the way through, under appreciated band!
What a strange and cool album! Have heard CAN before but never this album, a very groovy listen for sure! Some crazy long songs that were super cool! Just a record I vibed out to and greatly enjoyed.
Incredible album! Just recently listened to this whole thing! Still enjoyed it the second time around! Pavement is such a great band,, so many incredible albums as well as this one! Really cant say anymore than what has already been said but a 10/10 album
Incredible album! Just recently listened to this whole thing! Still enjoyed it the second time around! Pavement is such a great band,, so many incredible albums as well as this one!
The definition of an experimental album. What a wild ride through the whole thing, incredibly lengthy songs on this but not bad at all. Took almost 2 years to make this album with so many collaborators you lose count! Dr. John is a mad man and this album was just wicked to listen to!
Good album! Not my favorite thrash metal but still always into this genre! Not a bad listen just not my fav, not the biggest fan of Anthrax either.
Yeah a very very horny album like what the hell? Never been the biggest Aerosmith fan anyway and this is not their best album by a long shot. Some okay songs on here but man the most generic dad rock you would here at a dive bar.
Very very good album! It’s no All Eyez on Me but it’s still pretty solid! Self titled song has a real good flow. Nothing really caught me that much more on this album but still not a bad listen
It’s a nice album but nothing really stood out. Don’t really listen to Costello that much either but this just felt like an okay album. Nice sounding for sure but not my favorite and I assume not even his best.
What a masterpiece. Truly just shows how good Harrison was and what he was capable of with nothing stopping him. His greatest albums for sure but even one of the best “Beatles” albums I think as well. I love so many songs of this album it’s hard to count, 2 hours just flys by when you listen to this one, really enjoyed listening to this front to back again. 10/10
Not a bad album at all but nothing really on here that stood out to me. Sounded a little too similar to other bands out at the time and didn’t really push anything on this album to the full extent I feel like. Still good songs and not a bad listen at all, just don’t think it’s one for this list.
What a wild man Bowie is! What a great album in his discography such a staple of his music and just Glam Rock in general! The title track is a wild and awesome song and so many others on this album really stuck out like Drive-In Saturday, Panic in Detroit just so good first time listens. Finally listened to this front to back and did not disappoint!
This is one of the best and wildest albums out there! I Fucking love Tom Waits and his strange and unusual ways. Everything he does seems like people would tell you to do the opposite but he absolutely crushes it. An absolute psycho and I’m here for it! 10/10
I do enjoy shoegaze and also MBV but this is not their best album by a long shot, just feels like some songs are clunky and out of sync. And okay album but Loveless better be on here.
Absolute mind melting album! Who can play the jazz flute better?!?! Cannot believe how man classic Jethro songs are on here! Aqualung of course, cross-Eyed Mary, My God and Locomotive Breath??? What a great listen! Will never complain about Jethro Tull!
Great album! Love Gabriel, really enjoyed this listen, haven’t heard every song but we’re all very good! Sledgehammer and In Your Eyes are two of the best I think but overall great album!
Not a bad album at all, just not sure if this is the Flaming Lips album that should be on here. Personally I think they have better albums than this one. Still not a bad one I did enjoy the listen! Some songs seem to blend together on this one and not many really stand out to me. Middle of the road type of album.
Very good album! For some reason I really enjoy that it does sound like it’s coming through on a shitty speaker! Love As We Go Up, We Go Down, Game of Pricks, Motor Away and heard some really good ones for the first time, greatly enjoyed this album and glad I finally gave it a full listen!
