Highway 61 Revisited
Bob DylanDefinitely not my taste. I'm not really able to focus on lyrics while working so my review is really only dependent on sound, and the instrumentation and singing was not enjoyable for me for passive listening.

Normally I wouldn't think a rock album would make for a good casual listening experience for focusing while doing work, I found this album to provide a pleasant sound background that was not distracting. Familiar songs like Tom Sawyer and YYZ were fun to listen to, and the other songs, while not sentimental, were still pretty enjoyable.
I remember Coldplay being quite popular amongst many peer groups, and especially some musician friends, in the late 00's and early 10's. There were some musical aspects I enjoyed like subtle, surprise bass lines, but overall I would say I was rather whelmed by the album.
A few songs, like the first in the album with the fun bass line, I enjoyed. Others faded more so into the background for me. I enjoyed it mostly, but there were a few songs that weren't quite for me.
Not really my taste. Nothing on the album particularly stood out to me, but the music was easy enough to let fade into the background while doing other things.
This one really faded into the background for me. Nothing in particular stood out either positive or negative.
Every so often I pick out a line that is so clever and witty that I can't help smile, even if I'm not focusing on the lyrics themselves. I enjoyed the beats on most songs, with a few standing out enough to force me to stop to enjoy. I wish there was an album like this without the mature content (beyond what simply censoring expletives would accomplish), but I still enjoy the style and flow. Only other gripe would be album length, but that's an issue with my own attention span.
I have a hard time picking out lyrics when casually listening to music. Purely considering the sound of the album, it wasn't so bad. Nothing particularly stood out as something I'd seek to listen to again in the future, but also nothing was bothersome to listen to.
The album sort of faded into the background for me. Good for listening to while working as nothing stood out as distracting. Though that also means nothing particularly stood out.
This was a fun listen. Lots of recognizable songs, but even the less popular songs held their own.
Didn't enjoy this album as much as I thought I would. A few of the songs were nostalgic, but any of the songs with the dueling shrill guitars were rather unpleasant.
Album definitely wasn't my taste. Can't say there was anything in the album that would make me want to listen again.
I wouldn't describe this album as a great listening experience. It would have been a 3 if the album didn't sound like one song that droned on for far too long.
Not my taste, but nothing egregious. It was fine as background music, but I wouldn't seek this out myself.
Anyone ever play with a rubber chicken? It sounds like Frank Zappa sure did.
Some people say they don't understand jazz. This album helped me realize I am one of those people.
Maybe it's a difference of East coast vs West coast or old school vs new, but this is not the style of rap I care for. Every song sounds somewhat similar.
Pretty enjoyable overall. Couldn't name a favorite song, but I wouldn't skip anything if it came up in a queue
Never heard of this artist before, but I do think I'll be hearing more of him in the future.
Lot of the album sounded like they accidentally recorded the sound check before the concert started. Enjoyed the iconic intro to Smoke on the Water but not much else.
It's interesting to me that the modern equivalent of angst-fueled teenage garage punk music would be bedroom pop. Cannot say I enjoyed the 90's version of self-loathing music. Heart-shaped Box is a classic, but I think I actually prefer covers to the original.
Album had glimmers of pleasantry amidst fields of cacophony
Wasn't wowed, but wasn't turned off either. A "meh" sort of album
Probably only knew 2 or 3 songs from The Beach Boys. Interesting to hear more of their discography. I'd probably stick to the hits, but this wasn't so bad.
Was waiting for this album to end. Not really something I would ever listen to on my own.
Thought I would appreciate a full CCR album more, but this album seems to be missing most iconic CCR songs and the ones present here didn't pull me in.
Probably not something I'd listen to again, but better than my expectation was for a heavy metal album.
The musical version of a beige wall
Arcade Fire is the type of band that I don't mind if their music comes up in a playlist but I won't go out of my way to listen to them.
White noise rock
Bittersweet Symphony is stands out because the strings are so unique. The rest of the album does not.
This was a challenge to get through. Couldn't wait for it to end.
This album's music sounded like the album's covered looked. Not my taste
Not as bad as I thought it'd be, not as good to care to listen to again.
Never understood why I liked Take a Walk on the Wild Side, and now I don't understand why I liked this album. Fun and easy listen
Not a fan. All the rhythms and vocalizations are so similar throughout the album that it feels like only one song is on the album
Wasn't bad, but also wasn't something I'd look up to listen to again.
Casual listening does not lend itself favorably to jazz
Didn't much care for most of the album. It's not a good sign when I check my music player for how much time is left to go to finish the album
I'm not angry enough for this music.
Was quite a pleasant listen
Some things I liked, other things I didn't. Overall mixed feelings
This was fine as background music, but it wasn't something I'd seek out to listen on my own
Wasn't really into it, but it managed perfectly fine as background music
I like the Talking Heads, but this isn't my favorite of their music
The day after, I don't really remember anything about the album. Was fine for casual listening
I thought I was going insane during Aladdin Sane, desperately trying and failing to find and mute the browser tab playing that piano line.
Not quite my cup of tea
Some songs I found myself bobbing my head to, but others I were waiting for them to end. Overall, okay
Every time I see Arctic Monkeys on a playlist I get excited until I realize I only really like one or two songs from the Arctic Monkeys
I didn't want to like it because I don't like angry music, but I must admit this one is certified *okay*
Bit of a slog to get through. Blatant explicit material just really doesn't do it for me
Some stuff was pretty enjoyable, though I probably wouldn't look up anything later to listen to again. Solid 3.5
Absolutely was not expecting that one recognizable song amidst an album of songs that are understandably obscure
After the weekend, I actually can't remember too much about how I felt about this album. Didn't leave an overwhelmingly positive or negative impression
About what I would expect from the 77th album of the Talking Heads
This album really made you *feel* like you were blue
Was I at a coffee shop all day yesterday? Did I even come into work?
Perfectly listenable
