Popular Reviews

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson

Two fantastic songs. Lots of unremarkable discopop

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead

Redolent of much better musicians who work in this type of sound. Musicians who don't have Yorke's irritating whine all over their music

Too sad

Brothers by The Black Keys
Sep 25 2023

Music for beer adverts

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Sep 26 2023

Peerless. Had it not been for ITANOMTHUB this would be PEs best album. As it is, it'll have to settle for second best.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Sep 29 2023

Wanted to like it but it's just a bit too aimless for me

Parklife by Blur
Sep 30 2023

Too few bangers, too many smug wankers

Arise by Sepultura
Oct 01 2023

Hate this shit

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Oct 03 2023

Soul power is the cleanest energy source and may just save the human race

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 05 2023

Not my thing, but there's a couple of decent tunes. That corgan tho.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Oct 06 2023

Absolutely not

Marquee Moon by Television
Oct 07 2023

Seminal but the whiny yelp singing voice turns me right off

Live At Leeds by The Who
Oct 09 2023

Not into live albums or The Who so this was a tough one. Despite that there's no denying they were a great live act

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Oct 10 2023

This is absolutely not an album you need to hear before you die. I'm shocked at the quality of these 1001 albums so far. So much tedious acoustic drivel. Pop stars pretending to be men of the earth. Neil Young, I'm looking at you. Anyway, this is more of that nostalgia for a time before penicillin

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Oct 11 2023

Overrated but there is a small handful of great songs

Pink Flag by Wire
Oct 13 2023

Think of a number (10) divide it by two (5(stars))

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Oct 14 2023

Gangsta rap should've been strangled at birth

LP1 by FKA twigs
Oct 15 2023

I feel maybe I'm too old to get it but I mostly liked it

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Oct 16 2023

All filler, some killer. The good songs are extremely good but the rest is the definition of album track

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Oct 18 2023

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. It's still very far from an album anyone needs to hear before they die. Apart from maybe coke heads and they're scum so who cares

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Oct 19 2023

Two fantastic songs. Lots of unremarkable discopop

GI by Germs
Oct 20 2023

Decent punk rock music. Nothing special

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Oct 21 2023

Redolent of much better musicians who work in this type of sound. Musicians who don't have Yorke's irritating whine all over their music

Mr. Tambourine Man by The Byrds
Oct 22 2023

Decent jangle pop, which you'd expect from The Byrds. Just a bit thin and watery for my taste

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Oct 23 2023

Astonishingly good. From earthy pagan psychedelia to glacial disco via pure pop. I don't know how they did it but they did. Outstanding.

Odelay by Beck
Oct 24 2023

Beck managed to get a lot of praise using breaks and samples that were played out 6 years previously in hip hop.

Arular by M.I.A.
Oct 25 2023

Fun!

Kid A by Radiohead
Oct 26 2023

It's got my favourite Radiohead song so it's not all bad

Survivor by Destiny's Child
Oct 30 2023

Pop music. It's fine.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Oct 31 2023

I give up. This is dogshit. Nearly all of these records are guitar bands from America. A tiny cross section of what's available. Ok, they might throw in the odd Zappa to show how wacky and irreverent the list is but it's just the same beef, different gravy.
