1001 Albums Summary

Wonderfully timeless. Some tracks hit it for me more than others.

The funk/disco fusion on Boogie On ... is killer. So much of this was new to me and I really liked it.

Kinda underwhelming. Don't feel like it's aged as well.

It's... so dense! The flow is good, but a little too much for regular listening.

I appreciate the history, but the old punk scene doesn't really do it for me. It's like, too much of a slow plod.

Some of the drumming and background seems almost Beach Boys-esque, and I hear lots of precursors/similarities to the Talking Heads. Also just like, weird electronic experimentation that's pretty fun.

I agree with Dre, "Shady's basic". The flow is fine, but like, whether ironic or not he's just being an asshole.

Classic, hits me right in the college. I think I didn't appreciate Jack White until a little after this came out, but he really does a great service to modern rock and roll.

Had never even heard this name before. It's ok, but didn't really hook me on anything. Can see where they fit in to the overall Brit punk genre.

It's Elvis. Classic. Prob won't go into the everyday rotation, but it's great to hear.

Not a fan. The singles come off strong but the rest of the album really takes a dive.

Classic 90s, but it seemed a little stunted compared to their little bit later stuff. Feels like I remember it being a few bpm faster.
