Deja Vu
Crosby, Stills, Nash & YoungGroovy! Enjoyed the album but still found myself gravitating towards old classics like Helpless and Our House. I really liked “4 + 20” though, which was new for me!

-Track that stood out: The Drugs Don't Work -Recognized Lucky Man from the radio but never knew before that it was The Verve! -Overall enjoyed the album, hard to imagine when I would go out of my way to listen to it though -Will always love Bittersweet Symphony for the great role it plays in the Cruel Intentions soundtrack
Love Homme's voice and the opening track in particular, but only got through about 4 songs so need to go back and listen to the full thing again.
Fine but I much prefer other albums by Jay-Z
There's no going wrong with Johnny Cash. What a great album - my faves were all the ones familiar to me; Jackson, Give My Love to Rose, and of course Green, Green Grass of Home (I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying)
Not a big Stevie Wonder fan and found it hard to pay attention to this album while it was on. If I had to choose fave songs, I think they would be "Boogie On Reggae Woman" and "Creepin"
I hate to be that person but a lot of the Stones stuff sounds the same to me, although I am a fan of most of their hits. The songs that stuck out to me on this album were "Sweet Virginia," "Happy," "Ventilator Blues," and it was fun to hear their cover of "Stop Breaking Down" although The White Stripes cover is the best imo.
This was not an album I expected myself to enjoy, but really did. Although I listened while cooking, so was a little distracted, "What Is Love?" stood out to me and overall I enjoyed listening to the album and would listen again.
I'd never heard of Devendra Banhart before, but enjoy this kind of music so it was great to discover this album. Many of the songs sounded similar to me, but if I'm listening to chill music like this then that doesn't really bother me. One song that stood out was "Will Is My Friend."
I love Depeche Mode but would probably reach for their greatest hits or something rather than this album. Besides the hit faves "Never Let Me Down Again" and "Strangelove" I liked the song "Little 15".
This album is a masterpiece - maybe more than the hit-after-hit first half, I love the second part of the album that includes “Savior”, “Road Trippin” and “Porcelain.”
Didn't love it. Almost stopped listening at track 9 because I was done washing the dishes but something told me to keep listening and I'm glad I did because I actually preferred the second half a lot more. In particular, track 10 "To The End" and then "Clover Over Dover" ended up being some of my faves on the album.
Dusty has a beautiful voice and it was fun to hear a lot of familiar classics, but so many of these songs were also sung by Dionne Warwick and she is the real GOAT. Ultimately giving 3 stars because it's just not really my type of music, and if I was going to listen to something like this, I would prob opt for someone else like Dionne.
It was good but I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to listen to it again. My faves on the album were "Criminology" and "Wisdom Body."
Fricken awesome album. Y Control is my fave on it and in particular the lyric "I wish I could buy back the woman you stole".
My dad has spoken about Brian Eno before so I had high expectations. I'm not sure what I expected, but probably something a lot more electronic and techno. I liked the surf elements in the opening track, though! He has a cool style of music.
"Hey Hey My My" is one of my fave Neil Young songs. The rest of the album was good but nothing in particular stood out to me. I would def listen again, though.
My dad's going to be mad at me but it was just okay in my humble opinion
Such a talented voice and this album has many of her familiar songs on it. "Someone Like You" is probably my fave song of hers, but a special treat was hearing her cover of "Lovesong" by The Cure as the penultimate song on the album. Ultimately, not my kind of music and I can't see myself choosing to listen to this album voluntarily for at least another 5 years.
Awesome voice and I did like it but if I was going to listen to this kind of music I think I would reach for a different artist first.
It was just alright imo
It was good - I liked The Beatles cover and interpolation on the title track, which I'd never noticed before. Out of Bowie's work though, I would probably reach for a different album first.
Can I swear on here? Because F***, Blondie is so good. Hot take - Hanging on the Telephone is better than Call Me and One Way or Another combined. Also have always loved Fade Away and Radiate. Lots of their hits on this album that remind me of being a die-hard Blondie fan when I was younger. A couple songs I didn't know very well but liked off this album were "Will Anything Happen" and "I Know But I Don't Know"
I'd never heard this Radiohead album before but it was great in that it sounded very Radiohead-y. In particular I liked "I Might Be Wrong" and "Knives Out."
The last album Kurt Cobain listened to before he died... I really like R.E.M and love Michael Stipe's voice, which reminds me so much of Gord Downie's. "Man on the Moon" is a great hit on this album but I also really liked "Ignoreland" and "Nightswimming."
Some crazy things were said on this record but it's so good
Sam Cooke is always a good choice. Great album.
Love it. "I Know It's Over" is one of my all-time favourites by The Smiths. Of course, "Big Mouth Strikes Again" and "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" are classics too.
I can't wait to listen to this album a hundred more times. I enjoyed the whole album, not sure of my exact faves but "A Place Called Home" and "This Mess We're In" with Thom Yorke stood out.
I liked this album a lot!! Stand out tracks for me were "Soft machine" "Hey you (what’s that sound)" and "About funk"
I couldn't name you one Joan Baez song before this. She has an incredible voice but it was a little too old folky for me. Loved her cover of "House of the Rising Sun" though!
Black Dog, Going to California... it's all so good. Self-explanatory 5 stars.
I've never purposely listened to Def Leppard before but this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...
I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that... that was awesome...
The first few songs on the album are doing a lot of heavy lifting for these 4 stars but I also liked “trip through your wires” and the last couple of tracks.
If I had to choose one full album that was the best album ever it would probably be this one.
Far out. The second song reminded me a bit of The Shins and was my fave on the album but overall I don’t think I would listen again.
They're so good. Love all the well-known, popular tracks, of course, but also really liked the beat in the song "Heart".
I'll be honest, I didn't listen to the whole thing but I heard at least half. It was beautiful and if I was going to have a dinner party I might ask Siri to play Duke Ellington but I wouldn't ask for any album in particular.
I love Kanye’s music and I know this album is supposed to be one of his best but nothing stood out as that great to me…
90s Irish rock !? What! How did I not know about these guys? Super awesome and maybe my fave find of this 1001 Albums journey so far.
I've never gone out of my way to listen to Linkin Park, but it was good! I liked "Crawling" and would likely listen to the album again.
The Smiths are always 5/5
I can't imagine getting through this album without sobbing. I fell in love with this record when I was in elementary school and there's truly no skips.
So good. Loved "Out on the Tiles" "Tangerine" and "That's the Way". The last song wasn't loading so I almost skipped it, but boy I'm glad I didn't. Can hear where Jack White gets some of his inspo from for sure.
I liked it better than I thought but after a few songs it didn't really hold my attention. I could see myself using this as background music at the cottage. Was fun to hear "It's All Over Now" since I know and love the Stones version.
It was good and I heard some songs I liked and didn’t previously know like “She Said She Said”. “Here There and Everywhere” is one of my fave Beatles tracks.
Sooo many great songs - The Only Living Boy in New York will always be a fave of mine.
Absolutely killer album that I need to listen to more often in my life
Message in a Bottle and Contact are great, but there are other Police albums I'd reach for first
No skip album - love love love
I feel like I have to be in the right mood to listen to this kind of music, but if I heard this live at a country bar or was listening to it in the forest it would hit just perfectly.
Always great stuff from Bob Marley
I'm not typically an R&B lover but this album was great and I would listen again. Obviously I know their hits so it was a pleasant surprise to enjoy more of their music.
Shout out Pat Smear
