Murmur
R.E.M.It's what I expected a full REM album to sound like. Not bad, but nothing sonically that grabbed me and made me want to listen again.

Exactly what I expected a full Credence album to sound like. Surprisingly short with decent variety.
The highs of this album are so high, but it needed some cuts. I appreciate its importance for the amount of musical experimentation underway, but it lacks cohesion
Solid album top to bottom, with great highs and no real cuts. Would give it a 4.5 if it allowed that granularity because there’s nothing that deeply grabbed me
Thought it would be an absolute techno banger based on the first song. Then nothing else really hit for me.
A good set of covers, but I wasn’t moved by any of them
Inconsistent album - it’s not clear what they were going for here
Not that it was unpleasant but there was nothing to grab onto from this album
Includes one of my favorite songs of all time but it doesn’t hold up on a full listen
I did not enjoy a single second of this album. Only got through it by sheer force of will
There’s a bop or two on here, but it’s inconsistent in theme
Vibes were great but no song really grabbed me
Came in with very low expectations but ended up liking a song or two. Got some good 90s angst
Another 4.5 star review. You can see why Nirvana was going to have long-term impact on music, and the live versions are as good as any recording
Like this a lot more than I expected. Cohesive sobs and environment that feels perfectly 2000s indie
Lovely soul album from an artist I’d never heard of. Vibes were good even if nothing stood out
Lots of jazz flute. Fun album that didn’t really land for me
Hated this
Album needed some cuts. I like the tone / some of the songs, but it gets repetitive really fast
Prog-rock being prog-rock. Didn’t mind it, but didn’t have a sense of direction
Feels like a modern miseducation of Lauryn hill
Was ready to dismiss this pretty early on, but I enjoyed the back half of the album. Could be a 3.5 (as long as we’re on the 12 track version)
Pretty damn good. It’s a full concert on one album, I just don’t have the attention span for a 2 hour album
Strong flow on the album
Sounds like noise, not much positive to voice
It felt like a collection of sounds / words more than an album
Weird but I was into it
Jam band style jazz. Nothing really grabbed me
This has not aged well. Musically fine, but the lyrics were rough
Wanted to listen to it again. That’s been fairly rare
This really gave me nothing
Beats were good but nothing clicked with me in particular
Some all timers on here but the album tracks don’t hit for me
Solid album to rock out but no particular song grabbed me
Nothing to grab onto here
Another 4.5 one. It lives up to the hype with hitters and album tracks
Some album filler, but the highs of the album are perfect
This one delivers the hits and album tracks are pretty strong too. True 4.5
Fine, nothing really to see here
Solid but unmoving jazz album
At least it gave us Hurt
Solid mid 90s rap album
Somehow struggled to get into any of these
Fun concept, well executed, and lets Christina belt for an hour
I see why Eminem became a thing but woof at the subject matter
Elite bops abound but the filler is very filler, and he can’t decide whether he wants Latin pop, r&b, or boy band energy
I think if I listened again I’d get light early Kanye vibes
Pure classic rock vibes
Solid early 90s rap
Felt far more modern than expected. You could tell he was playing around with sounds
Did not realize they did things after Pet Sounds. Thought it was fine but the album wasn’t cohesive and there was no single that grabbed me
I don’t understand why this was interesting or important
Another middle of the road rock album
It’s an important album, but I know understand every claim of appropriation
At least we got take on me out of this
Some strong singles but it’s sonically repetitive and didn’t make me want to dig in more
Enjoyed this one and would give it another listen
Had no idea what to expect but enjoyed the ride
Pure disco pop bliss
