1001 Albums Summary

I’ll never forget the first time I heard the Immigrant Song. 50 years later I started to use it as a personal ringtone. Would’ve used it more but I t’s a little bit unprofessional in the business world.

Like at least half of the songs, certainly the two hits stick with us all.

I loved this album but a few special notes. I heard 5 songs I did not know and I loved all of them. I heard a lot of Allman brothers on the track “Why does love got to be so sad?”. Had to check and see if I bumped something and switched albums 😳 This was my least favorite version of “Little wing” ever.

Added a couple of songs to my downbeat playlist from here and I’ve always loved “Flowers” since I heard it in gone in 60 seconds.

Very unique and I loved it a lot. Gueralita is good also.

I enjoyed none of this album.

I admire what it took to do this, and I am quite frankly blown away by the combination of sounds. That said, I’ve never been a Metallica fan and that doesn’t change because of this album

Couple of songs I did not skip. Life’s too short!

I love reggae like the English beat, but this is just too slow, consistently.

I love jazz, and prog rock like Pink Floyd and The Alan Parsons Project, but could not imagine ever playing this again.

I am clearly not the target market for this album.

Good stuff, even though country is not my “go to” genre.

I have always loved tunes with a straight ahead bass line. “Where I End and You Begin” fits the bill really well. The rest are not as accessible to me unfortunately.

There have only been a few albums like this in history. Multiple hits and no bad songs.

I tried, I really did, but just cannot enjoy her.

I have seen their albums for years but never knew a single song or anyone to push me to listen. “Dream Pop” does have its place occasionally.

I have liked this album forever. Great background music and since I do not speak her language it is soothing and not forcing me to pay attention to the words.

The piano work on the album is absolutely incredible.

1979 is all I can listen to and enjoy unfortunately.

I’ve loved her style since the first time I heard her, which unfortunately was after she’d already died. Her nod to Grover Washington was especially fun.

Lots of good songs here. Unfortunately I can’t enjoy them with his pacing.
