Sea shanty typa dig

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
May 07 2024

Doesn't make sense to listen to in it's own. Was a movie score for a reason.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
May 08 2024

If Bob tried with this girl as hard as he was mewing this album wouldn't exist. What a sacrifice.

Violator by Depeche Mode
May 11 2024

Like if you made Disney music edgy

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
May 14 2024

No idea what he's singing about. There's obviously some sort of story but I lost interest halfway through each track. "Something is happening here but you don't know what it is" that's correct Mr Dylan I have absolutely no clue.

Steve McQueen by Prefab Sprout
May 15 2024

Jaunty is a word that comes to mind.

May 17 2024

Mr Kite, what a guy. Amazing. We used to sing 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' in Primary School. Interesting choice. The melodies in this album are magnificent.

Slayed? by Slade
May 19 2024

Not bad but very uninspired. Background music esque

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
May 23 2024

Idk what to say it was weird. Felt forced

American Idiot by Green Day
May 25 2024

Absolute staple of an album. I'd overlooked it.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
May 26 2024

The songs are a bit samey but this is firmly from the era when albums were cohesive experiences from start to finish. Try not to get hyped during 'The Chain' or 'Dreams'.

May 27 2024

Feels like I'm there. Was probably a great evening. Nice PSA about not beating your wife I suppose.

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
May 28 2024

Very Beatles-esque that these all could have been sad and mellow songs but they're upbeat instead. It's like a celebration of the fact that they loved instead of thinking that it didn't go to plan.

So by Peter Gabriel
May 29 2024

That was really bad. I can't comprehend how this can be considered one of the greatest albums. It's not musically profound in any way, just dreary and strange.

Country Life by Roxy Music
Jun 02 2024

I rank these albums based on how kind blowing I find them. Or if I feel inclined to add them to my playlists. But I put this on in the background whilst doing housework and it was just good enough to not skip any tracks. I also again question it's inclusion given that none of the artist's top 5 on Spotify come from this album.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Jun 12 2024

Strange, sounded quite amateurish actually

Revolver by Beatles
Jun 14 2024

Eleanor Rigby and Yellow Submarine are brilliant. The the album seems to be observations of life, which makes it a bit dull by default.

Giant Steps by The Boo Radleys
Jun 16 2024

Some alright tracks but overall not an amazing album

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Jun 18 2024

Not even the best Deep Purple album let alone generally

Raw Power by The Stooges
Jun 19 2024

Oh yeah! Real good rock.

Back to Basics by Christina Aguilera
Jun 21 2024

Definitely grew on me as the album went on. Maybe I had to get into the mood.

Tommy by The Who
Jun 22 2024

Underwhelming. Pinball wizard is a really good track but the rest of the songs feel really under developed. Singer needs to sing in a lower octave it's v monotonous and forced.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Jun 27 2024
Lady Soul by Aretha Franklin
Jun 29 2024

Boring

Jul 09 2024

No doubts with this one. A great collection of covers and originals. Each one stripped back and brilliantly conveying the musical identity of Nirvana.

Queen II by Queen
Jul 14 2024

I think Queen is a band where I'll only really be fond of their popular tracks. But this album is very fun

Heroes to Zeros by The Beta Band
Jul 21 2024

Cool sounds but I wouldn't really listen to it
