The Pleasure Principle by Gary Numan

To put it in one word: boring. Every song sounds nearly identical. Repetitive, uninteresting, annoying vocals, vapid mess.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Apr 29 2024

3/5 strong first half weak second half, much more acoustic and piano driven that some of his other works Favs: changes, oh you pretty things, kooks, life on mars Least fav: Andy Warhol

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
May 01 2024

5/5 I liked the majority of this project however, the final track; drugs did not do it for me and it left a bad taste in my mouth after the album. I liked the dark dispotian feel of the album.

I adore the dark, hopeless, hellish, apocalyptic, torturted sound of this album. It feels like it reaches a hand out and tries to drown you in it's own madness, and while some moments on the album make th is hand feel strong, other leave it weak and frail. There were times when it could get too screamo, or not lean heavily enough into its infernal sound, but there's still a lot to like. Glad I listened to it.

No song on this album is noticeably good or noticeably bad, and that’s the biggest problem with the album. Many of the songs blend together and nothing is memorable enough for me. Is what I would’ve said if one of the songs didn’t have the creepiest lyrics heard in the whole book.

Jun 10 2024

Possibly the most 4/5 album I've ever heard, it's very good, lots to love. I would likely listen to it again. However, it just lacks some certain things that would make it a five. It's missing some spice.

Vivid by Living Colour
Jun 13 2024

Kinda boring, nothing stood out super hard to me. Not terrible, but very forgettable.

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Jun 14 2024

The most confident I’ve ever been giving a three. Overall solid quality, but it lacks some of the moments that 4s have.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jul 02 2024

Strong three

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jul 09 2024

Low three, not a bad album but it pales in comparison to back to black

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Jul 23 2024

Strong three, got a little repetitive by the end

Heaux Tales by Jazmine Sullivan
Jul 31 2024

Strong three

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Aug 06 2024

The fifties is already a decade I don’t enjoy very much, making a three hour long album of it did not make me like it more

Want Two by Rufus Wainwright
Aug 16 2024
Dookie by Green Day
Aug 29 2024
War by U2
