Strong first half, weaker second half
Just a dated hard rock album that has creepy lyrics about sex. Only thing keeping it from a 1 is the fact that the tempo is fun and got one, maybe two listenable songs.
I understand the importance of the genre as a foundational step towards other genres of rock, but this is just terrible to listen to. It's all just very dated, and the production is flat with cliche and boring lyrics. It's nothing but a historical artifact.
Strong first half, weaker second half
Nice blend of old and new, unique sound.
Has some bangers, but it's mostly forgettable.
Would probably have rated it 5/5 ten years ago. It has some of his best songs, and the production is great throughout the album. Some aspects haven't aged too well.
Had some songs I really enjoyed, but a lot of the them just became fillers. I only got to listen to it once, so maybe it has potential to be a 4.
Couldn't wait for it to end. The vocals were so bad, and it all just sounded exactly the same.
Easy and fun listen, and the hits are nostalgic! A good project with a lot more layered production than I first imagined.
I only got to listen to it once on the verge of falling asleep very jetlaged, so I will have to give it a re-listen later. First impression: loud and all over the place, with some catchy tunes
Just a dated hard rock album that has creepy lyrics about sex. Only thing keeping it from a 1 is the fact that the tempo is fun and got one, maybe two listenable songs.
Only gave it a 2 because it got a cozy atmosphere, but other than that it was boring and bland
Really enjoyed the two first tracks, then it really fell off.
Very enjoyable listen, so diverse and captivating.
Very enjoyable listen, his voice is so good!
The production is smooth but one song blends into the next. Boring to get through.
It's alright, was surprised by some aspects of the project and enjoyed it then and there. I usually feel this type of music is mostly forgettable and bland. Decent listen though.
Every song hits very well, I love the melancholy, his fragile voice and the raw acoustics. First 5/5 so far!

Really enjoy dreampop in general, so this was a very interesting listen being so early on genre wise. Solid project.
Always found country hard to enjoy, and this is no exception. Dolly's voice is quite annoying, but it has a couple of cute songs.
This album was a pleasant and interesting journey, I loved the production of it. Very unique sound.
One of my favorite Beatles albums, can't decide between this and Rubber Soul. Innovative production with such a diverse set of genre blending. I love it, it's peak Beatles.
Not my taste, it's experimental but not in a good way. Not a single standout song, but it's bad enough to be 1.
My first encounter with Dylan, and it was very boring to listen to. One song blended into the next, and it didn't really spark any emotions as I'd hoped for. Maybe next time.
It blends two things I already find hard to get into, indie rock and punk. It all sounds the same, there wasn't one standout song I would listen to again. It wasn't terrible.
Cool project, fun to listen to but not really my style.
Introspective and goofy, I really liked it. It hits on a personal level with some of the themes explored. A couple songs can be a bit tedious and that's keeping it from being a 5.
Very hard to get into, it felt like a chore. The only positive about it is Beetlebum.
Very melancholic but also easy to listen to. I really enjoyed it.
Never heard of bossa nova before, but wow it's so comfortable to listen to. The sax work is sexy as hell.
Bland and boring rock
Repeterive with lots of fillers in a 36 minute album
Second Dylan album and it didn't really change my first impression. It's too abstract at times, his vocals are not good at all and too much harmonica. That damned harmonica.
One of my favorite Beatles albums, can't decide between this and Rubber Soul. Innovative production with such a diverse set of genre blending. I love it, it's peak Beatles.
It had potential but falls a bit flat
I really enjoyed the anti-war themes. I can tell it's a project that took long to make, it's very detailed. Some standout songs but many of the songs didn't quite catch the emotion I was hoping for. Solid nonetheless.
Impressive work, but most 2 hour albums will be tedious in the long run for me, and especially when I feel like they could've cut short many of the intrumental solos by several minutes and it would've been much better. It just drags for too long.
Haven't really heard much reggae, but I enjoyed this very much. The themes are presented so simple and effective, and the production is top notch.
Another Elvis Costello album just a couple of days after the first. I had to look it up and there's 6 Costello albums in total. The sooner I finish the better, this one was worse than This Year's Model. It's just so boring and it all sounds the same. It's nothing special about it, I can't imagine what has been left out to squeeze in 6 of Costello's albums.
I enjoyed some of the songs very much, but others were fillers. Yes, he was a person full of contradictions, but the messages and impact of his music stands regardless.
So enjoyable, it's fun, poppy and very atmospheric. The bass work is crazy, and the whole vibe captures the charm of the 80s while simultaneously feeling modern, it has aged very well. Best song: Save A Prayer Worst song: Hold Back The Rain
The Elvis Costello curse continues. 6% of my albums generated thus far have been Costello albums, help me. I have nothing new to say, just that I appreciated the reggae infused closing track. Best song: Watching the Detectives Worst song: Mystery Dance
Felt like a wild west fever dream, nothing like some upbeat country while singing about killing his wife and her bf. Best song: Streets of Bakersfield Worst song: Buenas Noches From a Lonely Room (She Wore Red Dresses)
Quintessential britpop, it's full of anthems and memorable hooks. The production is very simple but not in a bad way. The songs are easy and the runtime felt very short. I know the hits have been overplayed to death, but they still slap. It's a special energy that's fun to listen to, it captures the 90s british era very well. Best song: Hello / Don't Look Back In Anger Worst song: Hey Now!
It was better than Morrison Hotel, but it's still boring and repetetive. The vocalist seems drowzy and so tired at times I can smell the alcohol breath from afar. I read about how people admire his introspection, but I seriously doubt he knows what he's talking about half the time. Best song: Riders on the Storm Worst song: Cars Hiss by My Window
I enjoyed the journey, and the album has a lot of depth and wide genre blending but it didn't really stick that much. It's an album that probably gets better with more listens. Best song: Station to Station Worst song: TVC 15 Best song:
A milestone in hip hop, and the production holds to this day. The G-Funk beats are so smooth and such a vibe. Unfortunately a lot of the themes in the songs have aged very bad, and the album is too long. Best song: Let Me Ride Worst song (excluding skits): Lyrical Gangbang
So immersive. I really enjoyed the contrasts of each half of the album. While the first half is more experimental pop rock that's energetic, the second half is very melancholic and ambient that challenges the listener. In the end I'm left satisfied. If I was in a completely different mood this rating would probably be lower, but I wasn’t. It was perfect right here and now. Best song: Sound and Vision / Subterraneans Worst song: Be My Wife
Not really that interesting to me, it's a boring listen and it feels repetetive. Best song: Time With You Worst song: Some Things
A solid concept album about nostalgia, the timeless human desire to preserve what is familiar and comforting. There's something special about listening to people in the 60s worrying and reflecting on the drastic changes and their yearn for stability. It's a warm time capsule. Best song: The Village Green Preservation Society Worst song: Phenomenal Cat
Good project, I enjoyed the rawness it. Best song: Ball And Biscuit Worst song: Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine
This was a really interesting listen, it was hypnotizing and immersive. It felt like a robot trying to communicate human emotions, and the sound was foreign but comforting at the same time. I enjoyed every minute of it. Best song: Aquaris / Roygbiv Worst song: An Eagle In Your Mind
Interesting listen, but it's mostly just very dated. I can appreciate their talent and the complex rhythms though. Best song: Pacific 202 Worst song: Magical Dream
Apparently there are two versions of the album, an US and UK version. The Spotify album includes both versions' songs, while also adding three tracks not originally on any of the versions. The US version was better, and the review will focus on the original US version. This was my first time listening to Hendrix, and I've heard so much about his legendary guitar skills. I was blown away, and the psychedelic fused composition was perfect. His themes are both cosmic and very grounded, with great introspection and the use of clever metaphores. Best song: The Wind Cries Mary Worst song: Third Stone From The Sun
Watered down grunge. One dimentional and repetetive. I can't help but be mostly bored throughout this. The first half is so much stronger than the second half. Best song: This Is a Call Worst song: Watershed
Really interesting storytelling filled with wit and clever social commentary, added with glam and ironic undertones. It feels deeply personal but universal at the same time, it's also very easy to listen to. Best song: Mis-Shapes Worst song: Pencil Skirt
Very complex and layered production, the genre blending is crazy. It's mostly controlled chaos and it's a fun listen. The problem I have is the second half of the album, it got some real stinkers that lower my rating drastically. Best song: The Great Curve Worst song: The Overload
Youthful punk influenced energy, it's fun, fast paced and chatoic. Sometimes it's too chatoic for its own good, leaving a lot of the songs unpolished and lacking the same punch as the highs of the project. Best song: Caught By the Fuzz Worst song: We're Not Supposed To
The production on this is so good, I love the soul and jazz influence. The tracks are solid throughout, and it's a testimony to Kanye West's brilliance as a producer. It's conscious and cohesive. Best song: The Corner Worst song: The Food
Unlistenable, it's chatoic with harsh vocals and rough production. All the songs sound the same and it's hard for someone outside the hardcore punk circle to enjoy any of this. Best song: Rise Above Worst song: Damaged II
A lot of bangers, it was a fun listen and the themes explored are interesting and engaging. The problem is that it gets too one dimentional and therefore bluring the line between many of the songs when the tempo and riffs are so similar. Best song: Holiday / Boulevard of Broken Dreams Worst song: Extraordinary Girl / Letterbomb
I've never really listened to jazz(-fusion), and this was a nice introduction to that. The soundscape is very layered, it's groovy and sound so ahead of its time. Best song: Chameleon Worst song: Vein Melter
Dreamy and quite atmospheric, but most of the time the songs fade into the background. Best song: Happiness Worst song: Clowns
Not as good as Are You Experienced? This isn't as cohesive or direct, it's apparent that this is a step in his evolution as an artist given the more complex and experimental approach he takes. I still enjoyed it a lot, and it's probably an album that will grow even more on me with more listens. Best song: All Along the Watchtower Worst song: ...And the Gods Made Love
I enjoyed the range they present here, they are very versatile and willing to dive deep to explore different genres. It's also its biggest flaw because it feels very uneven. Torn between a 3 or 4, but... Best song: Tangerine Worst song: Hats off To (Roy) Harper
A warm and inviting project, it's mostly very solid and it captures the emotions presented very well. It's an easy and comfortable listen. However I don't see myself revisiting this any time soon, it just doesn’t stick with me even though I appreciate her clear talent. It's subdued and lacks variation. Best song: It's Too Late Worst song: Smackwater Jack
A real cinematic experience, each track flows into the next effortlessly creating interconnected dreamlike rooms. It's so layered I can't start to comprehend how they managed to take the countless samples to create something as cohesive as this. It's controlled chaos. It lacks standout tracks, but the whole album experience is what makes this so good. Best song: Two Hearts in 3/4 Time Worst song: Avalanche Rock
Interesting and fun listen with diverse and original sounds. The problem is that it feels too experimental at times leaving most of it not sounding like fully fleshed-out tracks. A very influental project nonetheless, and I can see why. Best song: Regiment Worst song: Come with Us
It's one-dimentional and hasn't really aged that well in terms of the soundscape it creates, but there's something about it that still feels satisfying. Its raw energy mixed with the easy song structure makes many of the songs still very enjoyable. Best song: Crawling Worst song: Be Myself
By far the worst album so far, it's an unhinged chaos that made me exhausted. It mistakes shrieking vocals, claning instrumentation and lack of cohesion as art. Spoiler: it isn't. Best song: Several Sins Worst song: Big Jesus Trash Can This album made me come up with a new remark I will make on the album cover and how well it fits the mood of the project Cover check: Fits the music perfectly, it's ugly, disjointed and impossible to enjoy. I might vomit.
Boring listen, it's all attitude with no real substance. The tracks are mostly boring and underdeveloped, the production is unpolished on purpose I presume, but it's just not good. Best song: Personality Crisis Worst song: Private World Cover check: Grabs your attention, but just like the music it's wannabe edgy and has no real debt
