Not much of a metal person at all, however, was pleasantly surprised by this album. It wasn't "heavy" which made me appreciate it. You'll find some phenomenal beats and rhythms throughout this piece of art. I would say "Running Free" is the best track on the album followed by "Phantom of the Opera". I struggle to imagine a scenario where I would find myself listening to this style of music.
Phenomenal storytelling, I think the skits really add to the appeal of this album. Completely recommend listening, it is just plain fun all the way through.
Couple jams but man do I dislike metal.
You will recognize some tunes off of this, some vocals would be appreciated.
Solid album. The best song on this is "In the Gallery" followed by Sultans of Swing.
Good background music, jazzish style to it in a way.
Strange but notable soundbites.
It's Santana...good guitar not much else to it
Not huge on the Beatles, annoying sound to them.
Lacks energy and all sounds the same.
Phenomenal, true talent out of Adele here. Not my favorite genre or style, but acoustically very impressive
Mountain song & Jane Says are very fun songs, other than that it all kinda blends together.
The first track is a top 50 song OAT. The Drugs don't work is beautiful but sad... very sad. Catching the Butterfly isn't anything special but serves its purpose as a mood transition. One day is very god as well. This is a must listen album.
The song "Take Me Apart" is fairly catch with a unique sound. Not my favorite genre by any means. I have never heard of Kelela before this.
This is bad and weird, and I listen to weird music
Sounds like Dylan, not the biggest folk rock guy. This was a difficult list for me as I am a huge solo Simon fan. Not horrible, but wouldn't listen to again.
Eh, nothing to crazy. Only two good songs on here.
Great vocals, fun album. Definitely past its time frame I think. I would rate this higher but struggle to find a situation where I intentionally throw on this album.
Pretty middle of the pack. I don't think this is Zeppelins best work. It felt very repetitive, minus the hit "Kashmir". A little underwhelming compared to all the hype this album seems to get.
I think it's a little unfair to have a live album on this list because it adds to the aura of the album. This is very very good, and I wouldn't consider myself a fan of this genre of music.
A blend of punk, Irish, and drinking songs. It works well, I only think I would listen to this on St Patrick's day or tailgating a Notre Dame Game.
Wild Cats of Kilkenny: 4/5
Sally MacLennane: 4/5
London Girl: 5/5
The Body of an American: 4/5
Two well known songs, other than that, fairly lackluster.
Kingdom of Love is a fairly good tune.
Positive vibes has a sweet Sitar riff in it.
Fit the "College Rock" genre but are far from being at the top of the genre. I could name 10 better albums in this genre.
Great vocals, not my cup of tea but certainly nothing to hate on here
It's fun, for the time, definitely a different sound. Don't think the shoe fits if you know what I mean. Would I listen to the full album again? No. Are there some songs I will keep in rotation for the rest of my life? Most certainly.
King Kunta- Absolute JAM.
Alright- JAM
For Sale- Unique beat, prolly the most underrated song on the album
Momma- Great tune
Same tone all the way through. Love under the pressure though
An album I am very familiar with this album, it's one of my favorites. The South African influence on this is so unique and I think revolutionary to the musical world.
Favorite Song: Diamonds On the Soles of Her Shoes
Other songs: The Boy in the Bubble, Graceland, You Can Call Me Al, Under African Skies, and Homeless.
Standard 80s music, big fan of "Elegia".
I have been looking forward to this album as I am familiar with the high-praise it usually receives.
Lost one- Really good chorus, has a mix of hip-hop and gospel which compliment each other very well.
Ex Factor- Good, not great. I have heard this sampled before.
To Zion- Santana on this really elevates the song for me.
Solid early 2000s alternative album.
Opens up very strong, the drums in Politik set the tone and are attention grabbing. This song is a "call to action" and does a great job of it.
In my Place, is jaunting. This song has a very clear theme and phenomenal vocals.
God Put a Smile Upon my Face- Good guitar in it, nothing special
The Scientist- Might be Coldplay's best song. It will make you cry, its absolutely numbing.
Clocks- I think its slightly worse than what the general public thinks. I recall this song getting over played on the radio when it fist came out, still not a bad tune though.
Daylight- I like the riff in this, feels like a nod to Echo & The Bunnymen's song "The Cutter".
Green Eyes- I think this could be left off this album, if I had to pick a song.
Warning Signs- Pretty weak
A Whisper- Pretty weak as well
A Rush of Blood to the Head-
Amsterdam- Great way to end the album, fits overall theme
Its British Punk, nothing special, nothing cutting edge if you will. Some solid tracks but nothing that is "music altering".
Have on CD, gets better the more you listen to it.
It was not bad but not great at the same time. Nothing memorable.
Liked "Our Lips are Sealed", "Lust to Love", and "We Got the Beat". Didn't feel much like a cohesive album though.
I am aware this is on Apple's top 100 albums, which means nothing but something at the same time. Too High is good but Living For the City is exceptional. I probably have listened to it 15 times in the past 24 hours. Cohesively the album works, not a massive fan, but happy I found what I think will end up being one of my favorite songs of all time.
Great Punk album that was genre altering. Janie Jones, I'm so Bored with the USA, White Riot, London's Burning, and Career Opportunities are solid tracks. Bonus was the cover of Police & Thieves.
It's Bruce, you either like him or you don't. I like him however not my favorite album of his. Enjoyed the following songs: Born in the USA, Cover Me, Darlington Couty, I'm on Fire, Glory Days, Dancing in the Dark, and my Hometown
Its, dark, gothic, heavy, and unique. It's a must listen, and probably Echo's best album. I am probably biased here, grew up listening to them and have seen them live.
