1001 Albums Summary

The album is carried by its few excellent tracks. It wasn't a no skip album. Constant California motifs help keep it consistent.

Great album, good improvisation from all trio members. Bill Evans doesn't disappoint

Solid but nothing special

Probably not a bad album if you like the style. However, it is not for me personally. Can't say I would recommend it to a friend.

Very situational album written by an interesting individual near the end of their life. Vocals sound raspy and dull through years of smoking and the whole album is musically rather uninteresting.

Solid album. Classic 70s feel. Middle of the road.

Unique sounds and style, however, the vocals don't add much. Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya Ya I had to skip, Dense Fambeaux was a more palletable improvement or perhaps I just got used to the style after starting so abrasive. Jump Sturdy is certainly a highlight.

Interesting style, very unique. Some of the tracks could have been a minute or two shorter.
