Blur
BlurI really like this album. I was only familiar with one of the songs. I loved hearing all of the other songs. The last song Essex Dogs is so good!

I can understand how this album would be influential in its genre, but it’s not my taste. I can see listening to this style of music in an outside bar in the Caribbean but other than that it’s not for me.
One of the best, most classic albums of all time. Knew most of the songs. Baba O’Riley, behind blue eyes, and won’t get fooled again are so good! I thought I was going to have to devote a couple of hours to this until I realized I can listen to the original album version which is much shorter than the deluxe edition that popped up.
Didn’t really enjoy it. I kept on waiting for her hit song, but it never came. I didn’t recognize any of them. Her constant fluctuations are a bit weird.
I know there are some big hits on this album, but I’ve never been a fan of oasis and I’m still not. I just don’t like his voice. Sounds whiney and nasally to me.
I was looking forward to listening to this album after watching The Complete Unknown a few weeks ago. Fun to see how he got started. I recognized and enjoyed several of the songs, but not so much some others. Hard to not like Bob and his harmonica, though.
I don’t even know where to begin with this one. There was everything from lounge singing to hard rock. One minute I felt like I was in a senior center or musical, and the next minute in a rap R&B club. I can admit there were actually a few songs I liked. 57821 was pretty. Mushrooms & roses, Cold War, tightrope, and neon gumbo were all pretty good. Overall, I can’t figure out who she is as an artist. It was just weird.
Am I being punked? This album is terrible and the guy can’t sing. I thought, “how bad can 9 songs be?” When I thought it couldn’t get any worse that last song came. Even the title doesn’t make sense. I wish I could give this album a negative score.
Switched to the clean version after a few minutes into the first song. Still feeling pretty gangsta, though. CREAM baby!
Although I did recognize two classics and I know this album was hugely influential, it’s just not my thing.
There are so many good songs on this album! I really enjoyed listening to it again. Love “one” and “ mysterious ways”.
Very simple back then. There are some good, classic kinks songs, but none of them were on this album. Didn’t recognize any of the songs and I can’t say I really enjoyed any of it either.
I didn’t hate this album as much as I thought I would! I didn’t recognize any of the songs and I probably wouldn’t ever listen to it again, but it wasn’t too bad.
Duo didn’t prepare me well enough for this one. At first, I wanted to get up and dance, but I was driving down the freeway, so wasn’t going to do that. After a while, all of the songs started to sound the same, and I was ready for it to end. I think I need to plan my next vacation to Mexico.
Hard to not get up and dance to this one. A little difficult to get through since I’m not a Spanish speaker. First, I thought it was kind of fun and then I couldn’t wait for it to end. I’ve heard enough bongo drums to last me for a while. Perhaps they were trendsetters for this genre. Just not my thing.
Haven’t listened to this album in probably 50 years, but still knew every word. I really enjoyed listening to it again. Loved razor boy and pearl of the quarter among several others.
I was excited when I heard the first song. I’ve always loved it. Then I didn’t recognize or like any of the other ones (except for the last one). Lol
I can’t figure out why I’ve never heard of this band. It seems like the music I would have listened to back then. 28 songs, none of which were very memorable. Wasn’t bad, but I probably wouldn’t listen to it again.
Never heard of this guy. Kind of reminds me of the Beatles. I actually liked In the lost and found. Turned into a snooze fest after a while though. Glad I made it to the end cause that last song was pretty good.
I’m amazed at how many songs Queen has that i’ve never heard. It was just ok. Nevermore was my favorite, though.
The only song I was familiar with was sultans of swing. Never liked this band too much.
I’m surprised at how many bands there are that I’ve never heard of. Who knew that I liked shoegazer music? Really cool album!
I’ve never heard this album before, but I really liked it. Tennessee is good.
Haven’t listened to this album in years. I really enjoyed it, although it’s not my favorite of theirs. I didn’t notice when it ended Spotify started playing other songs of theirs, and I was liking those songs more.
“Like most of his other albums, Greetings from L.A. did not sell well” Why is it on this list? Not terrible, but just not my taste. Some of the songs were all right.
It’s hard to explain how much I hated this album! “She told me so” is especially bad. I was 12 when it came out, but have never heard of him.
So many hits on this album, but I’ve just never been a big fan. His voice sounds whiny to me. I probably enjoyed the less popular songs more since they haven’t been overplayed.
I’ve enjoyed discovering new bands. I’ve never heard of this one, but I liked it.
A little strange, but it was all right.
Wasn’t into hairbands in the 80s and I’m still not. 3 huge hits, though, so it gets a 3! I have to admit I enjoyed listening to wanted dead or alive.
Love Radiohead! Fake plastic trees, and street spirit were probably my two favorites.
Love the stones! There are some great classic songs on this album.
This album was a pleasant surprise. So fun to find good groups like this that I’ve never heard of.
Once again, I am amazed at the many groups that I haven’t heard of! I was 15 when this came out and I’m sure I would have liked it. Never introduced to it though. The style is a little dated now though.
So many hits on this album considering it was the number one album in the US. Brings me back to the days of the breakfast club.
I would like to know how these albums were chosen. At this point, you just have to laugh. But angels of ashes was definitely my favorite and get behind me really rocked!!!
Another group I’ve never heard of, but I really liked. Who knew I liked Indie? That last song He Would Have Laughed is so good!
Not really my thing, but I can appreciate it. It gets three stars because of bad moon rising. I guess they got tired of singing with the last two tracks.
Great album! So many hits. Enjoyed listening to it again.
This album was really weird. It was tough to get through. Felt like I was in a lounge.
I recognized a few classics. Brought me back to the days of animal house. Fun listen but not my thing.
I really don’t like this band. Thank goodness it was only 30 minutes. It was a house of suffering for a while there.
Love the vibe of Bob Marley. So chill! Only song I recognized was Stir it Up, but they were all good. Got me excited for heading to the Bahamas next month!
How did I not know about this group? I love this album! I’d definitely add it to my playlist… if I had one.
I was expecting to like this, but I really didn’t. I then realized a bunch of songs were added into the expanded version that weren’t great. I’m sure the concert would have been fun, though.
Wow, that sucked! I’m guessing this is what they must play in hell.
I never know what to expect. I had no idea that this album was going to be hip-hop. It is so good!! How have I never heard of any of these groups.
Although a lot of great classics came from this album, it’s just not something I would choose to listen to.
Not a Def Leppard fan, although I have to admit, I kind of liked Pour Some Sugar On Me. I was tempted to start flipping my hair around.
I’ve never heard of this group, but I liked it!
Timely since the last of The Beach Boys passed away yesterday. It definitely sounds like the 60s. Recognized a few of the songs, but the style is just too dated for me.
Another beach boys album. A few big hits again. Just not something I’d choose to listen to today.
Seems good as far as Tango goes. Probably not something I’d choose to listen to, though.
I’m determined to hit that high note on take on me! Recognized a few others, but didn’t love it. Definitely has that 80s vibe.
Never listened to Public Enemy before. I didn’t know any of the songs, but I liked it!
I’m sure it’s fine as far as Nigerian music goes. It’s just not my taste at all! I’m not a fan of jazz and it has that vibe. Even though it was only four songs, it was still a struggle to get through. Interesting history, though.
I remember when this album came out. I enjoyed listening to it, although I only knew two songs on it. I thought the hymn was really pretty.
Some old 80’s punk rock. I remember the band, but only recognized one song.
Not a jazz fan. Hated it. The only song I somewhat liked was the last one with vocals.
More 80’s punk. I only recognized one song, but this album is pretty good.
