Horses was a rollercoaster. Will listen to it again but in general I liked it. I really liked the storytelling part of the album. I can see why “Horses” is an important album for rock music history. This album definitely impressed me, I didn’t get distracted while listening to it and each song had something particular for me to notice, I didn’t find it “stale” in any part.
Lowkey stomp clap hey music
That was real fun. Very cute, catchy, comforting album. Coconut is genius and it’s funny how no one really appears to know the meaning of the song. This is the kind of album that I would play on a record player and just do my thing. Will definitely listen to some of the songs again this album was a great discovery
It’s definitely jazz. It’s a relaxing album, not really my thing but that was pleasant. Either way, Sarah Vaughan is amazing
Yeah I’m not sure about this one. In general it was okay but I don’t know if I would listen to it again. Still, I liked his songwriting
Crazy guitar work. This album still feels very fresh this is definitely my first 5
As a freshly 18 yo, Dancing queen always makes me cry
Catchy, great sounds
Really liked this one, it’s fun
So haunting, melancholic but also crowning. What an introduction to Cohen, his last album published weeks before he died. Definitely not my thing but I felt many different emotions while listening to it, this album takes you to a different place during its 36:07 minutes.
I don’t know maybe I have to listen to their earlier stuff first, but this album didn’t give me much
Amazing debut, great references great themes
Meh. RIP Brian Wilson tho
So human
This is so dope.
And yall can’t even handle Sabrina Carpenter’s new album cover.
Bands were so horny in the 70s. This is more of a 4.5 to me but I’ll give it a 5 cause there’s definitely some bangers on this album, it’s an incredible debut and I love the guitar. Also, it’s funny how they randomly became Elvis Presley in Ice Cream man
Feels modern for its time. Holger Czukay really made it work, it’s a cohesive album it’s not just random noises I like how they sound together.
It’s good, got a little bored tho. Would listen to this album on a roadtrip maybe
Very Beatles-y/beach boys-y. Sugary lyrics, nice sounds.
This just made me so fucking mad.
It’s a vibe
Nice album. Great songwriting, I like the variety of themes treated in the songs. I personally can’t really feel the “jazzy, latin music” influences but that’s probably a me problem. Overall, I liked it, 3,5. Wasn’t familiar with Paul Simon but now I’d like to know more about the buddy he broke up with
Really fun and angsty, loved the vocals in particular. It’s in the most part pretty straightforward with its lyrics but that’s also why I like it. But imagine my surprise when I found out that there’s no femmes in the band violent femmes
Amazing album, fun 70s rock just how I like it. It flows perfectly, it doesn’t feel like this album is 45 minutes long.
An out of body experience, just perfect
Don’t really know how I feel about ambient but Brian Eno is that good of a producer. This album feels like a middle aged man on a journey around the world if that makes. Something I really liked is the guitar solo in “St Elmo’s fire” that resembles electricity. Right now I feel like this album is 3.5 but I think that some songs have the chance to grow up on me
Solid album, but after a while I started losing concentration. Really liked This love tho
So 80s. I like that it got really weird in the last tracks
Brian Eno definitely left his mark here. I was expecting something more punk rock for some reason but it turned to be something totally different. The album cover really made me want to listen to it, but I don’t know if it left me satisfied. I like the first part of the album best, but to me this is like a 2,5
I like the mix of genres, I think it works well. It’s an ok album overall, just now really my thing. I really liked Shara Nelson vocals tho
Didn’t expect much from this one, but it is actually a good album. Maybe a little slow for me is some parts but it has its moments, like Ready, Able for example. I’d like to add that you can tell that this album was released in 2009
Just didn’t click for meeeee
Absolute greatness
It’s ok
No thanks, sweet message tho
Truly revolutionary. People reduced this album to “satanic stuff” but clearly they weren’t listening. Deep social commentary, amazing sound and lyrics definitely a 5
“You want to impress me, shoot somebody who making my bills high all of the time See, it's easy for cats to kill other cats, it's just the dogs they got trouble with You know what I'm sayin'?”
Yeah vampires and that thing in the album cover are really cool.
He was tall, hot and he had a sweet voice Cute, slow album
Loved it, I found it brilliant. Angsty, loud, direct. I like that the lyrics are so straightforward, you could say that this album is minimal: the cover, the short titles, the choruses, but at the same time it is so rich of meaning. Insane debut
