Psychedelic rock. Lots of drifting electric guitar riffs, real more Dynamics than I thought there would be over the course of the whole album. Interesting to read up about the history of the band and their evolution with their increase substance use into Jefferson Starship. Wrote White rabbit which is the first one of the first pro drug songs
Overall, surprisingly like this album much better than I thought I would. Categorized as arena rock, most popular song is more than a feeling, though I enjoyed a lot of the other songs more. Guitar electric guitar has a lot more punch and structure overall more melodic and major key riffs, much more digestible in a lot of ways then psychedelic Rock of the surrealistic pillows in Jefferson airplane. Surprisingly there are songs that I would return to outside of this listening exercise. Peace of mind specifically and maybe let me take you home tonight.
First time listening through this album. Made impressions were a clear lead vocal, simple clean instrumentation, with the very memorable hooks along with good storytelling throughout most of the songs. At times instrumentation felt thin, though I'm not used to listening to a lot of music from this period. Lots of songs saved for later listening, most notably wasted time, New kid in town, and lost resort. Favorite song was try and love again.
A nice easy breezy listen. Smooth, controlled sax, wonderfully played all around.
Well mixed, overall a pleasant listen that wasn't for me (yet at least). Loved the build on all you nasties, I'm a sucker for a good choir part.
With much regret, one of the first albums I could not wait to be over. Instrumentally forgettable, did not find the lyricism of the songs to be much to write home about either. It's a me problem, but I absolutely did not enjoy this listen through. Maybe some other time
4+, immediately digestible, though still quite novel for me

Insane.
Ubiquitous aquatic scatting, twangy/floaty electric. I could listen to a song here or there in the future, not my cup of tea right now unfortunately
Aggressively up my alley. House had a baby with psychedelic rock and I will raise it as my own
I can't deny that they have influenced LCD Soundsystem, rem, and countless others, but I also can't deny that this album dragged for me. Lacks the oomph that I've been spoiled with from the bands that have succeeded them. For me, right now, this incapsulates a band that walked so others could run.
Janis joplin is crunchy peanut butter in a land of smooth. Creo baby and half morning were both favoritos and showed her range. Unexpected fun
Definitely some great songs, could not overcome the impression of a singing ghost jangling keys... highlights were electric feel and kids
Some on the nose lyrics felt a little hokey/corny, but overall amazingly mixed album
Thought this album would be more promising after a strong start with I looked away, but found it difficult to connect with the rest of the way through. Still a good listen, one I wouldn't have touched outside of the project and that's a win in my book
Better than I thought it would be for a techno album, still not my cup of tea. There were parts of each song that I found genuinely pleasant though.
Stale after new York New york
A little too instrumental for my taste. Absolutely loved hearing Jump though
Rambling, busy, and more enjoyable than expected
Unfortunately one of my least favorite albums of this project. Few songs had the nice progression of themes that I'm used to in more housey songs. Not for me
Smooth as all get out
Fun, felt like being in a am Disney museum
Super fun, wonky album that has enough structure to make it enjoyable. I'm not overthinking it: it's a 5
I am neither misunderstood or angry enough to connect with this album, though I am happy I have been exposed to thrash. Historically seems quite interesting, but not an album I enjoyed listening to
A little grungey angsty, achy vocals, with enough of a pop flair to make it more accessible to the uninitiated like me
Listening to the grating vocals of ACDC gives me the same vicarious pain as watching an overly sun exposed senior using a tanning bed. That being said, an album and a band that is unapologetically themselves. Driving percussion and a trundling electric guitar push through the entirety of the album faithfully though it grew a little tiresome by the third song.
Neil's chroming baritone was a welcome reprieve from ACDC yesterday, nothing to write home about for me. Favorites: everybody's talking, that's the bag I'm in
Gratuitous, on the nose, but overall a very interesting album.
Underwater ASMR + singing ghost + middle schooler that was always laying down a beat in the back of class with a ruler and a mechanical pencil
More of a fan of his lower register. Not my favorite album, but a fine listen
Conceptually interesting but I would say otherwise not my favourite listen
Floaty, folky, dragged at points but overall pleasant
Masterful electric guitar, my enjoyment of which was limited by my general ambivalence toward long guitar riffs. This is something that deserves a couple more listens though...
Great album, preferred the more bass driven numbers. Under the tide is my favorite
Better than I thought and worth another listen. Gritty, interesting and always fun.
Loved this album, had a nice feel to it, favourite watcha gonna do
Going to California was a favorite,.great sound
