Not great, overly sexual with no subtlety. "The Faith Healer" was great, nothing else stood out.
More accessible than I would expect from bjork
Good, upbeat, fun easy listen
Good not great, probably an incredible single album in there.
Excellent album, classic National, was not familiar with this one, but dark and mysterious while still being upbeat and and catchy.
Great album, some classic songs but lots of great ones I wasn't familiar with
It was fine for what it is.
The music was very good, complex and interesting, ahead of its time. The vocals and lyrics were not
I'm not a huge hip hop fan but this album is great start to finish.
I understand the popularity, and enjoy some of the songs, but not really for me.
Fantastic. Very 80s in the best possible way. I was familiar with the song cars, and I think it may be my least favorite on the album.
Interesting, more jam band, jazzy than I like but the songs are pretty short and don't overstay there welcome.
Went in with a preconceived notion of what this would be and I was 100% right, only much longer than expected, about halfway through, don't think I'll make it much longer.
Good 60s tunes. Goes off the rails with the beach boys homage / parodies at the end but good up to that.
Very much an album of its time, the production is quintessentially 80's. Overall very good with some absolute classics (tainted love, say hello wave goodbye) as well as someone extreme lowlights (looking at you sex dwarf)
Not bad, great collab with Thom Yorke I wasn't aware of
Good album, interesting mix of folk, psychedelic and some more country aspects. Nothing revelatory, but probably was ahead of its time.
Impressive how much this album has been sampled and remixed that the songs are all familiar without ever having heard anything beyond the message.
Fantastic album, an all time great. Almost entirely classics.
Surprisingly not bad, I do not like Clapton but this was surprisingly decent.
Weird for the sake of being weird, a few good snippets mixed in here or there but usually sandwiches into other songs.
I don't understand the love for this album, the title track is fine the first few times. None of the other songs stand out.
Not bad a little long winded for my tastes but enjoy it as background.
Great old school country. Really quick listen at only 30 min, but great sound
It was fine, nothing really jumped out at me but less cheesy than zz top I'm familiar with
Some good tracks, a little samey throughout but overall good.
Pretty standard 80s fair, some interesting mix of genres in the music, the first track had me expecting something far more interesting and exciting but was fairly boring after that
Good folk music. Not as gruff as later Cohen I was familiar with, not overly interesting.
It's been a long time since I've listened to this end to end. Holds up very well, all the hits are well deserved and there's a number of great additional tracks too.
Fantastic album, such a classic 70s sound, perfectly combined with modern sound and production.
Very good, dark and haunting, interesting themes.
Not bad, but buried by trying to be too loud.
I was not too familiar with this band, good early grunge, leans more to the punk aesthetic than later bands that got big.
Very nice, nothing else on the album comes close to fast car, but a good listen all the way through
Wasn't too familiar with this band, but really enjoyed it and will check out other albums.
Nice album, didn't blow me away but some nice songs
Classic, nearly as good as YHF
Some good ones and some stuff that's just too over the top for no reason other than shock value
Good stuff, lots of well known hits
Some really nice songs, I think a few more listens will be worth it.
Lots of great songs, not many of the big hits I knew of so some nice surprises here
Time to pretend and kids are absolute classics, the rest is good but not great
Absolute classic, pretty much perfect all the way through. It's been a long time since I've listened all the way through this one and there are some fantastic songs beyond the well known hits.
It was fine, but nothing stood out in particular
It was fine nothing groundbreaking
Great start to finish. I have a lot of nostalgia for this one but it holds up to a relisten and then some.
Nice surprise, not groundbreaking but short, enjoyable songs
Seems like an early version of the more melodic punk music that was popular much later.
Paul Simon is always good, but this first solo album doesn't hold up against Simon & Garfunkel or his later solo work. Good but not great.
It's fine, the song drags a bit.
Good album, long songs but consistently interesting and returning to themes a true album experience
Not my favorite version of Young, kind of drones in places.
Doesn't quite live up to the Beatles but comes close in a few spots. God is the standout
This was an interesting album, something I'd never heard before, while still very of the times in the 80s a unique sound. I enjoyed it.
I had heard of Roxy Music but was expecting more synth, this was solid rock, lots of good songs.
Pretty good, more classic rock than I expected, I was expecting punk.
I'd never heard of this and it's good, but nothing really stood out to me
Great, dark, mysterious. Industrial but still melodic.
It was fine nothing groundbreaking
An all time great album, beautiful and haunting. April 14th and I Dream a Highway are the standouts, but it is great start to finish.
Great album, top to bottom.
This is my favorite version of Neil Young.
I'm very confused by this album it is all over the place, switching in and out of genres and languages arbitrarily. I feel like I should hate this, but I really enjoyed it.
Some great songs, but I don't think I like it as much as similar stuff from the time.
I don't get the love for Newman, some ok tunes, but nothing great and the weird ones are weird.
I don't love U2 as much as many. Some good songs here, but nothing blows me away.
Not my usual, but liked the British vibes.
Old school Rod Stewart is great, this is right in the sweet spot.
This was fine background music
Great voice, nice songs but long winded and not enough variety.
Really good set of bluegrass songs. Long and sprawling but never gets old.
Great songs, a little samey but no bad tracks. Had not know "Feel a whole lot better" was not a Tom Petty original
I started out hearing the early ska and thought, I'm not going to like this and then it shifted to more of a reggae sound, and I really hated it.
Noisy and fuzzy but in a poppy and melodic way.
Excellent album, great anthemic songs. Green Day is best when they realize they're not really a punk band and play towards there melodic strengths.
Not bad, but nothing overly interesting.
Decent Lou Reed, not as good as Velvet Underground or some his best solo work.
Never been a huge fan of the doors, too bluesy for me. But the end makes the album worthwhile.
Quite different from the Supertramp I was familiar with but still enjoyable
This was fine, always been indifferent to Elvis and this did nothing to change my opinion one way or the other.
Nearly a 5 star album, some incredible songs, drags a bit in the middle which keeps it from perfection.
I liked this more than I expected, voice reminds me of Bjork, in a good way. The songs were long but interesting and varied, never dragged or overstayed there welcome.
Hadn't listened to this as an album since it first came out, surprising how the vast majority of foo fighters songs I know and enjoy are from this album.
I was not too familiar with new order and was really impressed with this album. I thought of them as dance music and this is far more than that.
Pretty much what I expected too drawn out and jammy for my taste
