Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes

Loved it. I never gave thought to music happenings in other countries than the UK and USA.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Aug 14 2025

Awesome! When I was just out of high school my friends dad would talk about swinging to Count Basie. At that time we only listened to classic rock, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd… We poo-pooed my friends dad about his old music. To use that days vernacular, what dicks we were.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Aug 15 2025

Loved this. Parts sound like a reggae ska mix with the eccentricity of Steely Dan. Heavy bass and drums. Love his voice. Unique all around style.

Boston by Boston
Aug 18 2025

I remember when this was released. Nothing like the sound. Stellar guitars and vocals.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Aug 19 2025

Underrated band. This live collection sounds great.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Aug 21 2025

Excellent debut album. Didn’t appreciate the style when I was young

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Aug 28 2025

Grew up listening to 70s and 80s rock. This music has less talent. The songs are too long for the type of music. I do like her voice, very versatile

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Aug 29 2025

Classic. I read David Crosby’s autobiography. The deal was whoever was in the band at the time is in the title of the band on the album as equal billing.

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes

Loved it. I never gave thought to music happenings in other countries than the UK and USA.

Oct 15 2025

The only thing that makes this better than rap is the lack of lyrics

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Oct 27 2025

Loved it. I wish I were in a cafe in Europe in the 60s listening

Horses by Patti Smith
Oct 28 2025

Reminds me of Yoko Ono ( not a compliment). Perhaps that was the sound for the time and it got pressed on vinyl. I do admire Simone who followed a dream to make music.

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Nov 03 2025

Old school jam

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Nov 04 2025

I listened, but I don’t listen to this genre at all.

London Calling by The Clash
Nov 05 2025

Saw them with The Who at the LA Coliseum in ‘82. Joe Strummer worked very hard to make it in the business.

Rio by Duran Duran
Nov 12 2025

McDonald’s of rock. Did not listen.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Nov 13 2025

4 minutes in and I had a headache

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
