Popular Reviews

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys

If Mothers of Invention's Freak Out! Is music to chew bubblegum to (derogatory), this is music to chew bubblegum to (complementary). Problem is I'm just not a gum guy.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Feb 24 2026

An album that is structured as a 45 minute experience, not a collection of songs. More than the sum of it's parts, which are all good.

Feb 27 2026

I was vibing with this hard, until "Moonchild" showed up and sucked all the wind out of the sails. Luckily "The Court of the Crimson King" kind of a banger to end us off so they brought me back

Mar 06 2026

Didn't finish. The spoken word hip hop is not for me. Quite possibly the most British thing ive ever encountered.

Moving Pictures by Rush
Mar 10 2026

Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, and YYZ are obviously excellent, Limelight and Camera's Eye are solid too, but im just not a fan of Witch Hunt or Vital Signs. As much as I want to give this a 5, I can't justify it for an album that, in my opinion, loses its steam in the back half.

Freak Out! by The Mothers Of Invention
Mar 12 2026

Music to chew bubblegum to. Actually criminal that right when you think you're close, they hit you with a 12 minute song that is just random sounds.

Mar 13 2026

Man, I like queen but there's a reason only like two of these have survived the cultural zeitgeist

Mar 17 2026

Bad people are capable of making good art, and people who can't separate the art from the artist need to grow up

Scum by Napalm Death
Mar 18 2026

Didn't finish. Im sure this is for someone, but I dont think I would be their friend.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Mar 20 2026

Mar 26 2026

In highschool jazz band we played Haitian Fight Song, my first introduction to Charles Mingus. I think he is unironically one of the best to ever do it.

Arise by Sepultura
Mar 27 2026

Death metal is not for me. Did not finish.

Aja by Steely Dan
Apr 01 2026

Hey I actually knew this one already!

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Apr 07 2026

Feels criminal to listen to this while its cold outside

Kala by M.I.A.
Apr 08 2026
Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Apr 09 2026
At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Apr 13 2026

Mad aura to play "Got my Mojo Working" and then just go "lets do it again" and play the whole song a second time immediately after.

Rapture by Anita Baker
Apr 15 2026
Rocks by Aerosmith
Apr 16 2026

Forgettable

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Apr 27 2026

They knew which ones were heaters for sure. It's like filler, crescendo, Another brick in the wall pt 2, filler filler filler, crescendo, comfortably numb, weirdo music til the end.

The Man Machine by Kraftwerk
Apr 28 2026

Sounds like music that would play in the background of a factory building game

Cut by The Slits
Apr 30 2026
New Wave by The Auteurs
May 01 2026

I was grumpy when I listened to this, but this was like the most nothing album ive ever listen too. Just noise.

Zombie by Fela Kuti

Top 5 Wikipedia articles this month

Fuzzy by Grant Lee Buffalo
May 07 2026
Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
May 11 2026

The play 11 sleepers in a row and then pull out Time of the Season?? Bro if you can write that why is the rest of the album lame as hell??

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
May 21 2026

This might be the worst one so far. Did not finish.

In Utero by Nirvana
May 26 2026

Heart shaped box can only do so much work

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
May 28 2026

Peak "this is just a bunch of noise" album

Different Class by Pulp
May 29 2026

I'm not sure what other people are hearing here that im not. The whole album is SO HORNY, and I cannot stand the like sultry talking that the lead singer does. The actual music is fine, nothing to write home about, so im not gonna give it a one, but I did not enjoy listening to this.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Jun 09 2026

You knew this was gonna be a good one from the album art

Transformer by Lou Reed
Jun 16 2026

Imagine what the cultural zietgiest would be if Make Up was the one that made it into the public conscious instead of Walk On The Wild Side. Also Lou Reed is kinda terrible at singing???
