Popular Reviews

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield

This was hard to get through. The yelling/grunting/talking was very odd and off-putting

Dookie by Green Day

Classic. Small doses of Green Day, though. Small doses.

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Apr 15 2026

Nice intro into this Album a Day project. Hopefully the first of many :) I liked this one more than I thought I would. Not sure why I thought I wouldn't like it - maybe the old timey release date. Didn't know what to expect. Big sax - funky, bluesy swing jazz. Dancey. Some elements of humor. A little weird, but in an enjoyable way. Just a Gigolo is a jam for sure.

Apr 16 2026

Weird but kinda liked it. Spacey. Desert rockish. Drums on some of the early tracks stood out to me. Never cared much for Muse before this but I was sorta surprised. That said, not sure it was memorable enough to come back to and give another listen

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Apr 17 2026

This was forgettable to me. The musical arrangements and different instruments were nice. Can't say I'd ever seek this back out.

Boston by Boston
Apr 20 2026

Solid classic rock. Knew most of these before listening. Definitely nostalgic

Apr 21 2026

What more is there to say that hasn't been said a million times before? This album rules from start to finish. Quintessential rock.

Guero by Beck
Apr 22 2026

A weird, varied album. From trippy alternative rock to pop/hip hop, Guero is all over the place. Not unenjoyable, but probably wouldn't come back to listen to this again

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Apr 23 2026

Up and down album for me but overall enjoyable for the most part. Termination and Are You Happy were highlights imo. Ending track is like 17 minutes long. Wow!

Smash by The Offspring
Apr 27 2026

Solid punk/rock - think I'm actually more of a fan of some of their later albums (never heard this one before) but enjoyed it.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Apr 28 2026

Not a ton to say. It's Elvis! This album is alright but probably wouldn't come back to seek it out. EVER SMILIN', EVER GENTLE ON MY MIIIIND

Solid Air by John Martyn
Apr 29 2026

This reminded me of the Nick Drake album on this list previously. Although I liked this one more I think. Jazzy, bluesy and folksy

Pacific Ocean Blue by Dennis Wilson
Apr 30 2026

Thought it was gonna be like the Beach Boys. It wasn't like the Beach Boys. Kinda liked this!

Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield
May 01 2026

This was hard to get through. The yelling/grunting/talking was very odd and off-putting

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
May 05 2026

Definitely a vibe. Liked this. Reminds me of a better time in the 90s

Moondance by Van Morrison
May 06 2026

Big vibe. I'd listen to more Van Morrison for sure.

The Stooges by The Stooges
May 07 2026

Hearing this in '69 just have been so damn cool

Sulk by The Associates
May 08 2026

Was digging the 80s/synth vibe for about 15 seconds on the first track. That's where the enjoyment stops. This was AWFUL

So by Peter Gabriel
May 12 2026

Generic 80s. Nothing really to say here. A little dull.

Green by R.E.M.
May 13 2026

R.E.M. is a vibe. Didn't know any of these ones. Liked it!

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
May 18 2026

Generic 80s slop. Not a fan at all.

Melodrama by Lorde
May 19 2026

I am Lorde. Yah yah yah. Not my usual vibe but this was pretty good

Konnichiwa by Skepta
May 20 2026

Serious version of Mans Not Hot. Kind of a vibe. I like the Regular John sample on Man

What's That Noise? by Coldcut
May 22 2026

This wasn't on Spotify so had to listen elsewhere. Didn't get all the way thru but not the biggest fan

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
May 26 2026

Paul Simon is classic - but this didn't resonate with me. It's fine.

Screamadelica by Primal Scream
May 29 2026

This was really nice! Enjoyed it a lot. Trippy, vibey and spacey

Fragile by Yes
Jun 01 2026

Good classic vibes. Not sure I'd come back for this but it was an overall enjoyable enough listen

Django Django by Django Django
Jun 03 2026

Weird mix of pop and psychedelic. Sounds like an album made earlier than 2012. Decent though!

Back to Mystery City by Hanoi Rocks
Jun 04 2026

I think I forgot about this album as I was listening to it. This might be the softest "heavy metal" I've ever heard

Brown Sugar by D'Angelo
Jun 05 2026

Man this is a sexual album lol not my vibes at all

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Jun 08 2026

Boring and forgettable, just like the last Nick Drake album. Please no more of this....

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Jun 09 2026

Better than I expected. A little weird at times, didn't feel like an early 80s album

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Jun 10 2026

Eh. Either Or is appropriately titled. Take it or leave it.

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jun 15 2026

Iron Maiden! Excellent music. Laid the ground for heavy metal going forward. Love this.

Dookie by Green Day
Jun 16 2026

Classic. Small doses of Green Day, though. Small doses.

The Madcap Laughs by Syd Barrett
Jun 17 2026

Makes you wish it were Pink Floyd. It's like Diet Pink Floyd. Eh.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jun 18 2026

This is just ok. Classic folk I suppose - I can see why some people might like this, but not my cup of tea

Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens
Jun 19 2026

Liked this more than I thought I would. Decent 70s folk for background listening

The Cars by The Cars
Jun 22 2026

I think I've heard most of these too many times. Generic 80s pop. Safe, nothing crazy.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Jun 23 2026

A little slow and meandering. But gives me vibes of soft, late-80s pop
