Popular Reviews

The Healer by John Lee Hooker

80s blues - weird combo but i liked it. had a headache so was a little zoned out but there's much worse music to have a headache to

Nevermind by Nirvana

banger after banger, listened on a miserable autumn morning in my rain soaked dress feeling very grunge

Tapestry by Carole King

i have heard these songs played to death during my various retail/hospitality jobs so i maybe didn't enjoy this as much as other people do - but it is a very nice album

The Undertones by The Undertones

going to start writing little notes on these bc they're all starting to blend together a bit. anyway i think this is the first irish band i've gotten so that's cool! i listened to this in my little mouldy belfast bedroom while cleaning my oil pastels (rock n roll) and had a mighty good time.

Scum by Napalm Death
Sep 17 2026

liked it more than i thought i would but all the songs do just sound the same to me - a relaxing bedtime listen :)

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Sep 18 2026

dad music (complementary), didn't enjoy the screaming audience tho

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Sep 22 2026

when i started listening i was like "oh this is lovely!" but after three hours of corny showtunes i think me and ella fitzgerald need a break

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Sep 23 2026

listened to this with a miserable headache expecting it to make me feel worse but it actually cheered me up a bit. thank u little richard :)

With The Beatles by Beatles
Sep 24 2026

abbey road came on the autoplay after this and it's actually incredible how much this band changed in not a very long space of time. anyway i love the beatles and it's so fun hearing them do (endearingly worse) versions of the music they were into.

Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction
Sep 25 2026

if i'd heard this as a teenager i think i'd've really liked it but i'm now a tired adult who's had a long day and this was very noisy. summertime rolls and jane says were great tho, also can't believe this is from the 80s wow!

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Sep 28 2026

so good! i would imagine this is great driving music but alas i can't drive so who knows

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Sep 29 2026

nice meandering album for a crisp bright september morning. i love the blues. also love the story behind the cover

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Oct 01 2026

80s blues - weird combo but i liked it. had a headache so was a little zoned out but there's much worse music to have a headache to

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Oct 02 2026

i think i've surpassed liking bon jovi ironically and now just genuinely like bon jovi - this was fun, rock n roll!!

Dookie by Green Day
Oct 05 2026

i find billie joe armstrong's voice just a liiitle grating. i can handle and even enjoy individual green day tunes but a full album is a bit too much for me. american idiot got an extra point for nostalgia reasons

Disintegration by The Cure
Oct 06 2026

i love this album so much. listened in the buzz of the studio on an unusually warm october morning

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Oct 07 2026

i really liked this! very bowie but there's a grungy industrial undertone to the whole thing which i'm really into

Yank Crime by Drive Like Jehu
Oct 08 2026

noisy and angry but i liked it :)

Queen II by Queen
Oct 09 2026

alas, i'm just not a queen person. a little too musical theatre-y for my tastes. i also listened to this when i was supposed to be writing my dissertation proposal and wish i enjoyed it more for that reason alone

Oct 12 2026

i never know if i like jazz or not because every jazz album i listen to is so different! but i really really liked this - moody and layered and strange.

Oct 13 2026

i love when a live album makes you feel like you're there. i enjoyed this a lot more than i thought i would, very nice :)

Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Oct 14 2026

i know this isn't very highbrow of me but i was actually very endeared by this. the first song is a very sweet ode to a pizza place and it gets better. how can you not be charmed by a song called rendevouz with anus cmon now. hank von hell intensely whispering 'do you want to be a denim boy' had me in tears. i feel this would be very fun live

The Who Sell Out by The Who
Oct 15 2026

Appreciate the weirdness but i just did not enjoy this. HATE the cover

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Oct 16 2026

i need to start tuning in to newer albums outside of my usual bubble, this was lovely! so textured and well crafted

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Oct 19 2026

i do like the beastie boys but i also feel like if you were to remove the backing track it would sound like several drunk men on a street corner at 3am

Nevermind by Nirvana
Oct 21 2026

banger after banger, listened on a miserable autumn morning in my rain soaked dress feeling very grunge

Oct 22 2026

the whole time i was listening to this there was very loud building work going on outside which definitely fit the vibe

Rattus Norvegicus by The Stranglers
Oct 23 2026

love the keyboard in the background, such a distinct sound. i've never really paid attention to the lyrics of peaches before - yuck!

Tapestry by Carole King
Oct 26 2026

i have heard these songs played to death during my various retail/hospitality jobs so i maybe didn't enjoy this as much as other people do - but it is a very nice album

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Oct 27 2026

incredible album, i love all the little interludes, the cheers and hoots from the audience, it adds so much to what would be a brilliant album anyway - loved it :)
