Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Jul 29 2026

Track 1 - literally in my top 10 favorite songs. Such an inspiration. Track 2 - such unique vocals. Captivating when you pay attention Track 3 - more instrumentally interesting. It’s fun. BGV’s are fun too. Track 4 - bass guitar is highlighted and perfectly balanced out by some nice space like synth. Lyrics - can not relate. Track 5 - story book childlike friendship. Classic strings & strong percussion. Track 6 - some Edith Piaf influence? Lovely intervals in second half of song. Track 7 - love the strings. Love the vocals. Definitely memorable. Track 8 - theatrical. Dramatic. Creepy. Track 9 - nice double bass and percussion. Unique and provides a nice texture to compliment her lovely voice. Track 10 - some Scotland vibes. Bagpipes. Chant like vocals with a powerful but gentle belt. Storylike. Track 11 - lovely just as you would expect Track 12 - a nice storybook ending musically. Bright and draws you in with all of the interlacing sounds.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins

Overall, this album is unique to my ears. It's nice to be able to listen to music and vocals as part of the music (due to me not being able to understand the language being sung). It gives me a more genuine musical experience as I can imagine the vocal line and how it fits in with the rest of the orchestration as I would an instrumental work. It's refreshing. My favorite elements are the synth and guitar and how they communicate and support each other throughout the album. Objectively, this is a great album. The last track with grand piano sounds is a great finale. I don't know if I would choose to listen to this album on my own due to me not fully enjoying the sound of super high soprano voices (despite me being a mid-high soprano) I tend to enjoy lower voices for listening. I am very glad for the experience.

Love the guitar, the vocals, the organ sounds. It’s interesting, smooth, syncopated. The rock foundation in the second track. I absolutely love this album. It keeps getting better. Strong solo instrumentation, love his voice and harmonies. The musical variety is killer.
