notes: I did struggle with pastime paradise with how iconic gangstas paradise has been growing up in the 2000s. not super excited by all of them I find the really upbeat saxophone jazzy vibes coupled with its all going to shit if you grew up poor on the streets a little jarring in the case of village ghetto land.

notes : listening to this the day after dolly parton died bit emotional
love the tremolo solos I think they're fun. Very melancholy. Would go crazy at a dive bar at like 3 in the afternoon. This would probably kill to revise to #womeninSTEM believe me I will feel the pain of loving you then. Second half of the album picking up now wait a minute. Get me in the line dance now sad boogie to those memories of you. Why's I've had enough kind of christmas vibes? WTF I'm not ready for rosewood casket yet bro today? not ready. Great voices but I just struggled a bit with how slow it was.

Notes : like the gang vocals on too high. Nice chill vibes listening too while its heavy raining outside and it matches the ambience. I like the lyrics of living in the city and I think that they're important but I struggled retaining interest for 7 minutes. I thought the spoken city sounds were really interesting and helped the song a lot. higher ground has got a bit of something to it that guitar yeah. Like the guitar tones overall Definitely not my favourite but I can see how this was an important transitional period in his career

notes : the actual song bridge over troubled water not what I was expecting a lot softer than I thought it would be. I like how bridge over troubled water builds with the drums and organ. The drums might be slightly too loud for my taste. Still really good though gentle. Like an ELO build to it? LOVE LOVE LOVE the bird noises in El Condor Pasa. KEep the customer satisfied isn't my favourite it feels a bit generic for the era. I'm gonna be so fr my intro to cecilia as a young child was some boy band cover in the early 2010s so it just doesnt sound right. So long frank lloyd wright is so soothing. The boxer is sooooooo good. God tier song. Why dont you write is fun feels beach boys-ey. makes me feel a bit like a depressed elf that lives in a mushroom that smokes many cigs. Some mid songs but there are greats *cough* like the boxer *cough* can you tell I like the boxer? I dont know it might be too subtle.

listen to this while painting a room and it was so good for it, nice gentle vibe but still so interesting. Just pleasant I will listen to it again. Made me smile idk what else to say. The type of country music I actually really like it has soul.

notes : love the left ear right ear difference in dig me out. Love a female punk band, great voice. The vibrato in one more hour is sooooooo good. Songs like this make me glad to be a women. Really like the guitar riffs they remind me of someone I really can't put my finger on. The last 30 seconds of turn it on has so much infectious energy.
The first couple of songs I really enjoyed but there was something that felt a little generic alongside greats of the time like Hole and Bikini kill from the time but Words and guitar gives me what was missing it felt unique and so interesting. This only builds with its enough.
The high energy is so refreshing after a couple of days of country. This is a comforting sound for me.
Buy her candy felt a little bit weak to me but I still like the electric guitar riff so that's not a complete loss on me.
If I am to be completely real there most popular song I feel is one of the weakest on the album. There is such a vision in all the rest that I feel lacks in dig me up.
Love the pretty chimey noises we get in the second half of the album, its a nice contrast to have in the background
In conclusion I will listen to this again.

notes : Not off to a great start la femme d'argent sounds like the music they play when you're waiting for the doctor to pick up the phone. I think there is a certain charm but certainly not 7 minutes worth of charm.
Sexy boy shines it feels well rounded
All i need was alright. I thought Beth Hirsch's voice was very sweet but the instrumental didn't stand out to me personally.
Kelly watches the stars gives very chill daft punk vibes
talisman is very slow mysterious piano could see it in a tv show. boring
Remember : half decent background noise. not very involved.
I'm just not entirely that interested in the album It reminds me of my least favourite parts of daft punk.

really good bass lines as a general I like a loud base and you don't get them that often. That would be something is a little too elvis-ey for my liking it lacks a sense of individual identity.
Every night is sweet and I like the the sweetness of it. Lyrics are sweet, guitar melody sweet didn't like the believe me mama though as said previously you're not Elvis my love.
The change between hot as sun and glasses is a bit daunting I dont really get it i dont think its confusing.
I love the twinkley noises in junk

Maybe i'm amazed has quite cute lyrics but in some ways it feel generic like someone trying to get their footing on a new style. Plus points thoughI wasn't expecting that sound to come out of his mouth.
Kreen-Akrore really freaks me out with the heavy breathing that wasn't for me.
The whole album feels a little bit like trying on styles not really sure what fits. there are songs that just feel really uncertain of themselves.
It is certainly very sweet much how much Paul quite obviously loved Linda.

Some songs feel a little generic but that might be because of the age im listening to it. It's nearly 30 years after the fact and a lot of people have used this as inspiration.
I really like her voice in the r&b sounding context such as beep me 911.
Missy and timerland are a killer combo so sound.
It all sounds really nice and solid my issue is just the generic feeling.
The flow on they dont wanna fuck wit me is really nice.
I struggled a bit with why you hurt me. It's not my kinda track personally.

Notes : Personality crisis feels quite generic for the type of music. Its like classic punk mixed with slade and I'm not entirely sure that's something I'd want to be associated with.
I love what the dolls stand for and how they brought the androgynous look that shaped glam rock styles.
I can see how this influenced many band that I love.
The more chill vibes in lonely planet boy compliments his voice more in my opinonion. Still more of a background chill than an upfront
Frankenstein is a bit more what I was after.
I can respect what came before me without particularly liking most of it.

Notes : I'm going into this knowing that jazz isn't my favourite genre but trying to keep an open mind.
Going in i'm remembering my view that if I saw this in person i'd probably really like it but I think jazz is something that I may only be able to truly resonate with in person. The soul's in the playing so if I can't see that I struggle.

Notes : Her voice is stunning Clowns was an instant like. Had to hit it with an instant relisten because my ears are blessed.
The upbeat nature of happiness is welcome even if the lyrics are basic. Vocals in Some people remind me of Kate Bush which is possibly one of the highest regards I can give a vocalist.
Overall I think her voice lends better to a clowns type of song which isnt the predominent sound of the album but regardless I'm a fan.
