Thriller by Michael Jackson

Queen II by Queen

Wonderful discovery. I knew a lot of queen, but never took the time to listen to their early albums.

American Pie by Don McLean
Sep 11 2026

Very nice album and great sound. Too bad he didn’t manage to keep this creative height through the rest of his career

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Sep 12 2026
The Undertones by The Undertones
Sep 13 2026

I don’t care for late 70s punk pop. This may be considered a good album, but I don’t like this kind of music

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Sep 14 2026

This is the first time I listen to Harry Nilsson’s music, except an occasional radio or algorithm hit. After listening to this album in its entirety, I can honestly that I didn’t miss anything. Learning about it widened my pop music knowledge, but nothing more. I think it didn’t survive the passage of time test. The songs (most of them) are middle of the road, not interesting or exciting (but not completely introspective or otherwise engaging), and the humor in the lyrics is outdated. It sounds like a mainstream attempt at a now extinct mainstream.

This album was playing on repeat during the early 90s, but I haven’t played it for decades. As soon as I started listening to it today, I immediately got thrown back 30 years. I feel like the food critic in Ratatouille. What a perfect album. It starts strong, and gets stronger with every track. It is powerful and tough, but never tiring. 35 years later, still 10 out of 10

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Sep 20 2026

It was good in 2002. It is not as good today. Sounds like a trial to reanimate Nirvana’s sound. After 2 decades, it is clear the Hives were better

Celebrity Skin by Hole
Sep 21 2026

It is noisy and poppy, but as a whole album it is boring. I Didn’t make it through, and stopped on the middle

My Aim Is True by Elvis Costello
Sep 22 2026

This is a classic piece. I am glad I listened to it. I will probably listen to it again in the future, but this is not a favourite that I will constantly return to

Sep 23 2026

Some kind of new wave. Probably one of the first signs of the upcoming 80s. I was an 80s kid, but that’s not an excuse. It sucks

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Sep 25 2026

This studio album is a bit mellow. nothing like their live performances.

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Sep 28 2026

My of my all time favourites. It is not an easy listen, though. One has to really listen to it to enjoy it. Not something for the background, but a careful dedicated listening is highly rewarding

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Sep 30 2026

My main previous experience with Stevie Wonder was through the radio, when I was younger and there was still a thing called radio. Some of the songs from this album were played so often, that at a certain stage I think I got allergic to his music, as a result of overexposure. However, 20 years later, I am now master of my own radio. When I don't like a song, I can skip. Allergic reactions somewhat subsided. Listening to this album for the first time in its entirety proves this is truly a masterpiece.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Oct 01 2026

I never critically listened to Indian music. I know Indian music, and can recognise it, but I never learned its principles. this album aimes exactly at this: teach the listener some basics of the Indian music theory and building blocks. however, apart from its educational purposes, I didn't enjoy the music itself. it was too repetitive, and I think I won't listen to this album again

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Oct 02 2026

Listening to this album is like watching 40 years later an agent breaking out of his sandbox. What an historic experience!

xx by The xx
Oct 03 2026

Wonderful sound. Listening to it on a subpar system or headphones does not do it justice. take the wonderful sound away, and you are left with some very good songs, and some not so very good songs

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Oct 04 2026

I need another listen to this. I may want to come back

Oct 05 2026

It is happy and innovative, with bright guitars and tight rhythm section, but it is not to my taste
