What a good album! Sort of thing I would’ve hated when I was younger. Now makes me want to have a smoke and dance around in my bedroom. Literally can’t stop myself from tapping my toes
Before listening: don’t think I know a single wu tang song. Do know they’re iconic. Seems like something I would like
During listening: no songs standing out so far but enjoying the album. Something I would listen to while chilling with friends. Groovy
After: solid album. Not sure it’s something I would listen to regularly but can see the influence it’s had. Enjoyable still
Before listening: already know a couple of songs off this album. Not my faves but definitely catchy. Interested to see where it goes
During: sweet sixteen is great if I don’t listen to the lyrics. Passenger is overplayed but it slaps so it’s ok. Why so many lyrics about how young they are??
After: overall good album. Fun to listen to, and a bit unusual. Put off by the lyrics a little lol. Fave song - turning blue

Grew on me as it went on. Not my sort of thing but not bad at all
Way better than I expected. Knew Springsteen for Born in the USA (obviously). This was so much softer, and easy to listen to.
Before listening: I generally enjoy the cure. Not listened to loads of their stuff, so this should be fun
During: as expected so far. Feels a little less polished than their later albums, not necessarily a bad thing
After: enjoyable, less poppy than some of their songs. You can see where they’re headed
Don’t hate this as much as many people on here seem to! However, have to agree it’s a pretty standard album. Not bad, but nothing spectacular

Knew a couple of cardigans songs coming in to this. Album was much less poppy than I was expecting but I enjoyed it. Loved the iron man cover although I can see why people wouldn’t!

Spent most of the album going back and forth on whether I loved or hated this. I’m leaning towards hate. Some songs were pretty fun but it felt like it has no idea where it wanted to go as an album. Confused at why some of it sounded like a musical. Not for me
What a lovely little album. I’ve never been that inclined to listen to sixties music but this has piqued my interest.
The first album on here that I’d already listened to. Maybe I’m going through a phase but I think it’s great. So catchy

Unfortunately, I really liked this. It’s certainly not as good as the smiths. However, it unlocks some deep teenage emo self that I can’t help but enjoy. Morrissey is such a twat
I liked this much more than I expected. Never been into big band or swing and was further put off by the first song. Pushed through and largely enjoyed the album.
I’ve already listened to Roxy music for this and I wasn’t a hugeee fan, so wasn’t coming in with high expectations. Was pleasantly surprised. Experimental music in this fashion has really grown on me in recent years. You can see where talking heads get their inspo
Every time I start a jazz album, I don’t like it. Then I smoke a j and it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard. Great album

Gosh this was boring. Sort of music you hear in a shop where all the assistants are staring at you because you don’t belong there.
It’s really tricky to rate an album like this. I know it’s seminal and impactful. I’m sure at the time it was great. Unfortunately, it’s just not really my thing. I go back and forth on the Beatles - even when I’m up on them their earlier albums are more appealing to me. Perhaps I need to be taking some psychedelics to fully appreciate this
