Caju is the second album of Brazilian sing Liniker. Most of the album consists of generic latin r&b tracks. I like the three more tradional Brazilian sounding songs ("Negona dos Olhos Terríveis", "Me Ajude a Salvar os Domingos" and "Mayonga"), but then he turns to the slick smooth stuff again.

The usual issue of language barrier, I can only relate to the vocals as an instrument. Luckily it's a fine instrument and I had no objection to listening, even coming in well over an hour. The music was maybe on the basic side, existing mainly as support for the vocals. But the great variety and consistent quality in sound takes it to a higher level

I really enjoyed this. Some of it wasn't quite my thing, but it was a nice groove!

Rating: 8/10 Best songs: Tudo, Caju, Mayonga, Febre, Pote de ouro

Enjoyed this nice easy listening amazing sounding pop album.

The production/execution and character of this LP is grand, just feel it runs way too long for how homogeneous most of the tracks are for this genre. Cut it down to 45 minutes with a mix of the slower ballads/uptempo club numbers and you’d have a winner, but in its current form the album is somewhat exhausting for how little variation it brings to the table.

9/10 I think Brazilians are some of the most interesting and creative musicians in the history of music, and this is no exception

Good album. Wasn't sure what to expect. It's not the usual drivel we would get from the typical Brazilian artists of the current age. She delivers quite an enjoyable genre blend of traditional Brazilian rhythms with R&B and House. The deep, soulful vocals are emotional while the intimate, tender and affectionate delivery of the lyrics bring a relishing warmth. Enjoyed the collabs with other Brazilian artists. Nice.

ME AJUDA A SALVAR OS DOMINGOS was grooving just right and then hit me with the blue ball. Thought I skipped it by accident somehow. Lot of really good stuff here. So Special was kinda Drake-y for better or worse. Overall plenty here for a lower 4. I was certainly grooving.

After the first 3 tracks my impression was they have a really nice voice, but I didn't really think this was for me. But as this album has played on it really grew on me. Huge amount of variation -- drawn out orchestral, house EDM (SO SPECIAL), dub. I mean the whole thing is a little long for my liking, but it was an altogether fun ride. Low 4.

Some really, genuinely lovely music on here, surrounded by pappy pop pish.

Good summer album

Pretty good sounding even if it runs too long. PAPO DE EDREDOM kinda sounds like Men I Trust. DEIXA ESTAR is a fun one too. I just enjoy that it wasn't the same thing throughout and had a solid variety of different music, even if I couldn't understand anything.

I am always pleased to be presented an album not in English. Hello, Brazil! Enjoyed this blend of tunes though I wish it was a little shorter

I wish I had grown up with more music in other languages, the Macarena wasn’t enough. I enjoyed this album and the songs it threw up after the album had finished.

This was a fun album with a lot of unique styles and vocals mixed together. I don't think I would listen to it again, as I'm not a native speaker, but it was interesting enough to hold my attention the whole time. Very cool!

Definitely music

Black music, Soul music, Samba rock brasileña. Ni fu ni fa.

A bit standard singer-songwriter

It's alright. R&B in general is not my cup of tea, but I think I enjoyed this more than the average album in this genre. Not big on the radio fodder poppy songs on here, but the more soul-adjacent tracks were enjoyable. Quite long. Like a strong 2/5 I think.

Probably something that rewards digging in and multiple listens, but it's not enough to grab me to endeavor to do that.

Full support for trans people, but this music didn't cut it for me.

Caju is pretty chilled but ultimately quite generic, production is heavy on the bass (including the vocals) and it's better for it but ultimately it doesn't really hit the sweet spot for staying interesting, runs too long and of course I don't understand the words. High 2 maybe.

Sinänsä kiva että Brasiliastakin jotain, mutta kokonaisuudessaan aika unohdettava moderni pop-levy.

Only made it through a handful of songs. The singer has a good singing voice and that’s the only nice thing I can write.
